Real neato. What exactly are you doing with silver, @OP?
Silver is a cheap electro and photocatalyst. 10/10 Would synthesize again
Tealeaf101
more commonly known as" ooooh pretty"
ThePunneryOfficer
That's what I was saying to everyone in my lab haha
nik282000
Very cool, whats the application?
They can be placed on carbon for an efficient electrocatalyst, or titinia for a photocatalyst. Very cheap too
Fancy, does it let you photo-etch with finer detail or more accuracy in depth?
HWoVV
No but it replaces the need for photoetching in solar applications.
It has solar applications, but at the moment I'm trying to efficiently turn carbon dioxide into methanol
Derpmidget
Which reaction ?
This was actually just the nanoparticles drying overnight. The layers were formed by the different solvents evaporating at different speeds
Is it necessairy to have multiple solvents to have these nanoparticles ?
Not always, but I had a mixture of chloroform and toluene to disperse them in the right polarity solution
Orangjuice22
Chloroform...you must goin out tonight
no no, I save the chloroform for that someone special
