Taken January 3rd Venus is below and right of the Moon. Saturn above and left about twice as far away, and much fainter.
Here on January 4th, the Moon is just above and left of Saturn, which is much fainter than Venus.

I think we can see all planets except mercury with a small telescope most of this month?

Right, in fact you can see Venus, Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars with the unaided eye. Contrary to a lot of accounts, Mercury will not be visible for a while, and by that time, Saturn will no longer be visible in the evening.
