His head went through the sun-roof and those're pretty damn fragile s'far as I know. They're really only meant to keep air out/in, so it'd probably be pretty damn easy to just bust on through it.
It's somehow worse when you hear it from an EMT, even though you know for a fact someone wasn't going to make it. I watched an 18 year old kid get pinched between a semi and a water tank and when the EMTs finally arrived, we were waiting for them to tell us to move the truck so they could pull him out. We asked when they were going to move him and they said "after he stops breathing". The truck was the only thing holding him together and moving it would have just caused him unnecessary pain.
Wait so, you're saying that he may have died, but his body just moved on its own but he possibly wasn't aware of it because he may have already been dead?
Honestly, it's more of a "define dead" thing. Bodies can be critically injured and you can walk around like nothing happened until the adrenaline wears off. The instant of death is often clinically hard to define.
It's why the guillotine is creepy. The body isn't dead until it bleeds out. The head isn't dead until the brain is starved of oxygen. They're obviously not still communicating with each other. But neither is clinically dead for about a minute afterwards.
I hate the thought of beheading, because I don't want to know that eyes can still see and you probably feel pain down to the cut. It must be miserable and scary. No thanks.
