Finished this guy up a few months ago but wasn't able to post from mobile. I made it out of a dragon toy I found in the sand at the beach. It's overlarge and missing a set of legs still for its size but still makes a decent impression I feel.
Happy with the paint job even though it's basic - a nice washy fade from horn to skin tone, and a steel grey dorsal ridge contrasting with marine blue skin and lots of overbrushing. I think the lavender tongue helps a lot as opposed to a bright red one.
Just primer, base coat, and drybrush/overbrush
Prior to basing, but with the bulk of the extra legs in place
one set of legs. I'm using armature wire and apoxie sculpt for bulk of material with green stuff for surface details.
Wrappy wire legs. The toy was found without wings, so it needed those holes plugged up, and the flat flukes on the tail removed along with spine ridge. Acetoned off the original paint and cut in some texture on the shaved parts.
