Precisely. Anyone can speak out against injustice but the key to stopping it is action. OP says we need effective and enforceable human rights protection but all I see are soft words with no backing. Not even conveying the scope of outrage that should be there. 'Shameful' doesn't come close, and Israel doesn't care either way. They have already dehumanized their prey, why would this bother them?

There are other bodies who deal with human rights and may listen to the UNHRC like UK courts or the European Court of Human Rights. And their decision would be binding upon the UK if it comes to that. But of course neither of those bodies have to listen to the UNHRC.
