Couldn't be worse than a mad king.

Do you remember when the first things you did was remove anyone that he thought wasn't going to be loyal to him in the upper echelon in the military

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I do. I warned people about it. They said, "Oh, he's not going to put troops in our cities."

Trump can only be removed from power by one method and that ain't the election that won't be happening because of him and his Nazi flock.

The Joint Chiefs would be the easy way out for MAGAts. A national Vasily Blohkin would be the best way for the country.

Soon may it occur! Thomas Matthew Crooks is the greatest American of this century.

Time for the 2nd Amendment.

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Not really, because that would put the puppet JD Vance in the big chair. We need a full purge of the Executive Branch, and more than two political parties. Those two parties are only opposing each other in name.

Wtong. he Second Amendment is not a one time event.

Cannot happen since the Supreme Court is like this right now:

Check some history for the outcomes of coup d'états. It's almost universally a bad.

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Yeah, we're going through one now, since you are too oblivious to notice. The next will be a welcome change

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

You need to look up what defines a coup d'état.

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I'm fine with a military coup and the military taking over and dismantling the government and allowing the people to take back over.

5 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

As much as I would be happy to be rid of him, I don't think that's the normal sequence of events in military coups.

History is still out on the decision. This could weigh in its favor, since their oaths are to the Constitution.

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

And if the people vote Trump back in? Happened before.

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Their paths are to the Constitution, so there will be no living person attempting a third term.

Need multiple elections after somebody has been hanged, drawn, and quartered.

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's funny as shit, and I would enjoy watching it.

It may come to that, but history shows a lot of those generals suddenly get their hands on the reins of power and are like:

Yeah, they couldn't be worse than the Child Rapist in Chief. DOWN WITH THE GOP!

So, Thailand's military has a thing where if the gov't gets a little too corrupt, they coup it and arrest everyone and then call for new elections.... they are extremely polite about it, putting new trackpads on the tanks before they drive them to the capital, following all traffic laws (a friend was on his honeymoon when an M41 Walker Bulldog pulled up next to him at a light and waited for it turn green before heading off to the capital.

What an engaging and thoughtful insight on modern politics from…bippityboppitybuttsex

There are quite a few countries where the military has a final check on civilian gov'ts corruption as the military has a responsibility to protect the right of the citizens (the US military has no such responsibility and, by law, is prevented (see Posse Comitatus) from interfering in civil society outside of an actual invasion.

TBH, even the Thai coup didn't do what it promised and cancelled upcoming elections and didn't hold new ones for a year... So, I am not sure this is a super great idea.

Oh for sure and I am 100% here for the conversation. It’s a wildly dangerous precedent and was (arguably) rightly excluded from the military’s remit.

Historically speaking, anytime the military decides they can do it better, things go sideways in a hurry.

My, mildly sardonic, comment was strictly about the way our usernames come across when we join in the conversations here.

So, I often tell people that if I were innocent of a crime, I would far rather be tried by a military court than a civilian one... if guilty, a civilian one.

Why? The truth of the matter is a mission of a military court (and all cases are automatically appealed and reviewed for proper procedure and innocence is a valid reason for appeal), in a civilian court, prosecutors routinely suppress evidence of innocence... if this happened in a court martial, the prosecutor would end up in jail.

The people? The trump voters as well?

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

No, they are Nazi vermin. Their allegiance to Trump convicts them and sentences them.

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

No, there will be reeducation camps for them. Germany did it after WWII.

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

And there it is. "They're evil because they want to march us into camps" What will you do if you win? "Well, we will march those guys into camps" News flash - Anyone who thinks marching anyone into camps for any reason is a evil bastard (and deserves to be marched into a camp /j).

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Nazis guillotined people in my family for opposing Hitler and for trying to kill him and overthrow his regime. I know about Nazis. I have zero tolerance for them or their apologists. A reeducation camp is what happened to rank and file Nazis after the war. It was a de minimus punishment in the scheme of things, and necessary to root out their ideology in German society.

Look up the paradox of intolerance. It's okay when they are fascists.

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It's okay when they're "fill-in-the-blank" The excuse of nazis everywhere. Here's another newsflash for you, if you're marching someone into a camp, for ANY reason, you're on the wrong side of the paradox diagram. Only nazis march people into camps. You want to claim that status? Color me surprised.
