I used to work with a really cool woman who decided to quit her job at a really cool place because she hated the concept of the 'Terminator Effect' in which a computer would be the one to fire her. I'd have agreed with her anywhere but there where they were a very human run place.
I unironically love clowns and think they're cute and funny. I also ironically love clows because they're horror icons and everything I aspire to be.
One time we had a pair of boots no one wore stored in the cupboard under the stairs. When the time came to clear it out, one boot had been turned into a comfy mouse nest and the other was filled to the brim with mouse poop. Bedroom with en suite bathroom.

#24 I’ve been reading this. It’s kind of incoherent in a lot of ways and I really hope it all comes together in the end, somehow. The latest arc with the solutreans is a lot more interesting than the initial Columbus arc, but I think that’s mostly because the initial traveler was just kinda boring with his hemming and hawing over attempts to divert Columbus without just killing him.

Yeah I noticed the same, it has problems with larger breast sizes because it tries to scale the chest and the shoulders together. So scaling up the chest to the proper measurement meant the shoulders on the model got way too big.

Overall though, the thing to remember with WW2 is that it consisted of the rest of the world having said "enough, no more of this shit. it's bad so we should stop", and the Axis Powers going "no we're gonna keep invading and conquering and colonizing" until the Allies fought a war to stop them.

Only in scale. Death camps were done by the British in Africa. They did not get it up to anything like the Germans did, but it was not unprecedented. If you want comparable scale, the mongols probably did more killing on a % of world population at the time. Their mountains of skulls can be compared to holocaust in the efficiency and numbers.

It's not really the same thing. The British didn't have extermination camps, they had internment camps, much like the US did with Japanese Americans. These were horrible for sure, but it's akin to comparing hijacking an airliner to hold for ransom (as happened in the 20th century) versus the 9/11 hijacking of airliners to suicide crash into buildings murdering everyone aboard (plus those in the building). That is, one does not inherently lead to the other.

Internment camp is a concentration camp synonym. The one in the US was bad of course, but I was referring to the ones the British used in the second boer war in 1899. Where Britain killed 20.000+ in their "interment camps".

You are confusing "internment/prison camp" with "extermination camp". The former is about imprisoning people, and is a bad thing (because it's usually because of who they are, not what they did, nor is any sort of trial involved, etc), but it is NOTHING comparable to an Extermination camp, which exists specifically and explicitly to KILL EVERYONE SENT THERE.

So the 20.000 people the British killed in these camps, they are what now? - the extermination camps were evolutions of the consentration camps, it's very import to remember this, because when you make a difference between the two, then one is just bad, while the other is a whole different category. When people get sent to camps, we are a in the verge of doing this all over again. Humanity has not evolved, we are the same. As we always were.
