These are great, you have a good camera eye! I live around the area too, but in apartments. It's near wetlands though, so plenty of birbs of a different feather and other more swampy like critters, gators & turtles & frogs and such. You made a good choice choosing the woods, neighbor!

They are more scared of you than you realize. They can be residential if you feed them.

Yeah I have a few of them who hang out around the property when evening comes around. Love watching them but hate watching neighbors interact with them.

I guess add me to the list of the hated. LOL. We have been taking care of them for more than ten years. They are happy and overweight.

I shouldn’t have used “hate”, especially since it wasn’t directed at any individual.
It’s just tough to watch these little guys get comfortable around certain homes and not realize that other houses, especially ones with big dogs in the yard, might not be as welcoming.

Nobody has loose Dogs at my location even if they encounter any dog the raccoons claws are enough to make the difference.
