First beef, the beefining

First beef of the year. Chuck roast? Idk. Cardamom lime rice with cilantro. Sliced jalapeños. A1 steak sauce, sautéed onions. That veggie mix from Costco.

Cook those bitches up. Still getting the hang of it. This is an hour in.

Franklin salsa verde. I mix it up with what I have on hand.

Green booger goodness.

Soft focus, because it’s basically porn.

Get a mini leaf blower. Become ungovernable.

Not bad for chuck roast.

#2 it took an hour to sauté onions?

2. I admittedly have no idea how to brown them. Everyone says slow slow slow. Then add water and broth. I’ve spent 3 hours just staring at them while I cook. Pretty sure I’m missing a finer point or two.

The slow slow is more for camelizing not sauteing.
I usually use a 50/50 butter and olive oil add a few tablespoons of liquid when need be. Sauté should only take 10-15ish minutes.
