Save the bunnies!

We found a nest of bunnies in our yard. The dogs had pawed at the nest but not harmed these little guys. We gathered them up in a towel so we could get the dogs corralled, and put the nest back together.

We got them all tucked in and comfy, then crossed two sticks over the nest. This way we'll be able to tell if mama came back to feed them. The babies don't have a scent, so the mama only comes by once a day to feed them. Then she takes off, knowing that she does have a strong scent and could attract predators. Although it's a myth that handling babies will cause the mother to abandon them, we still wore gloves just to be safe. Cross your fingers for these little guys!
