"It's time for Republicans to admit the obvious, and to start saying the quiet part out loud, which is, that our party's nominee is not qualified for office. We need to vote for the adult in the room, and that is Kamala Harris" John Giles, Mesa AZ Mayor

So US has republicans who do want to see a country in four years...

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

They really don't, don't fall for their bullshit.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

Roster is already growing beyond this

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The tik tok logo jingle at that moment really feels ironic, there.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I agree. I got the clip from instagram.

"We have realised she's going to win anyway and are trying to look less bad"

2 years ago | Likes 91 Dislikes 5

Don’t say that, I really hope you know why none of us should be saying that.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

100% a "we never liked him anyway, be sure to remember that we're the nice ones once you're in office."

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

I'm all for encouraging them. Anyone willing to admit the Titanic is sinking while it fills with water has some sense. Meanwhile Musk is in the engine room shoveling trumps bullshit hoping that'll save him.

2 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 1

I like this analogy

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Never was. Took them long enough.

2 years ago | Likes 113 Dislikes 1

I’ll give him a little credit for still being in office rather than retired but, yeah. 8 years ago would have been better

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It took them eight years to admit this shit, amazing.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm sure they eventually said the same when Nixon finally resigned, but... pretty sure they will go right back to it after. see: Mitch Mcconnel's long history.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I find it refreshing to come on Imgur and see how many normal level headed people there are, in support of Kamala. Unfortunately there is a huge part of me that just can't see that racist infested country voting for a women of colour as president. I hope I'm wrong.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

honestly, voting for Harris is the only chance Republivcans have at getting their party back

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

out load

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

haha. damn typos.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ngl, some of these imgur comments are scaring me... when you see ppl trying to do good and imgur community will still denounce them, insult them, and make blanket statements about an entire group that encompasses millions of ppl, you literally sound like the very ppl you're insulting. I'm not conservative in any category, but I understand we're going to have to fix this together. Imgurs mindset just makes things worse.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I agree, even hearing rallies and speeches they have Biden and Harris go bully politics like Trump with Donald dump or this just weird thing from walz.

Stop it, stop. The reason the middle doesn't like Trump is because he is a bully. Don't alienate the people you need by being a bully too. Talk issues, Trump can't and won't do it. People will hear the through the noise.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is not going to sit well

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Too little too fucking late. Every republican who didnt denounce trump the first time is guilty in helping to spread his bullshit. All I see when watching this is rats trying to flee a sinking ship. Each of them prob supported Trump when he ran the first time. Now they are trying to act like they are responsible adults. These people make me sick.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Yeah, big picture it might be too little too late. But it might be helpful for this election.

keep it going just wish W would say something but he’s vowed not to comment on any presidential matter again

2 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 1

I mean, that's smart for him. I'd stay the fuck out of the public eye too if I'd started a war and gotten a ton of people killed on a full-blown lie and gotten away with it.

2 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 2

Why do you value what George W. Bush has to say?

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I don’t I’m a democrat through and through the context of this article is republicans for Harris if W said I’m voting Harris that would be mean a lot to many potential Republican voters seeing he’s the last living former republican pres who is not trump

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The W stands for War Criminal.

now that Trump is tanking ...

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't believe that these Republicans have any values or convictions, they're only saying things like this to better position themselves in the party if and when the party rejects Trump. They would be perfectly happy to follow Trump if he was performing better, because they fundamentally agree with Trump. The core tenet of conservatism is "more money for us, fuck you", there are no deeper or more meaningful principles behind conservatism.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Why TF dont they all do the truly heroic and honorable thing and just change parties to Democrat! Their words mean nothing…I have not believed a word that comes out of and republican’s or religious person’s mouth in many many years. We need ACTIONS to prove you are not full of scheming, lying, conspiracy crap!

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Curious to know at what point it became time? After access hollywood? him selling pardons? trump associating with epstein? january 6th? snickering up to dictators because their people live in fear or them while he is being mocked? jared getting billions from the saudis? trump storing classified documents in front of his toilet? trump getting convicted of sexual assault? his 34 felony counts?

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

The last straw was them figuring out that we might hold them accountable for their support of his actions.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When it started looking like he might not win.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Holy cow actually sounds like real Republicans, I didn't know we had those anymore

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Real Republicans have always been garbage people, don't fall for their bullshit. They're only doing this to better position themselves if and when the party abandons Trump.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

It really doesn’t. It sounds like people that know they are toast if Trump is back in office. “It’s Never-Trumpers” rebranded. We saw how that went for them. I’d say at the very least, at least they aren’t kissing the ring and taking the knee, but their ideology hasn’t changed, they just see a Harris win coming and want to play a longer game.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

No fucking Republican is qualified for any office in the USA anymore. They literally tried to overthrow the US government and have supported stripping rights away from citizens while demonizing the very group of people who have created the USA, you know immigrants.

Now they know he's cooked they bail. Typical repub

Fr. I used to vote both sides of the isle, but it will be a VERY long time before I can even think about trusting anyone with an "R" by their name again. (for the record: I thought of myself as a centrist for a while, but it turns out this was only true by European standards, by current American standards I'm apparently a radical leftist. This information in itself was enough to start *actually* radicalizing me)

2 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I used to have a Republican for Kerry pin and tried hard to get him elected instead of Bush getting a second term. Im a gun loving, business owning, home owning rural person in a 15 year straight marriage. But i also consider myself non-binary, bi, atheist/ agnostic, and I believe solid social safety nets lead to lower crime and better mental health and overall happiness outcomes for everyone. All that said, im not remotely a republican anymore. I wont vote R again anytime soon.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The Republican Party has voted for money over people my entire life. The brand is dead. I’m never voting for them again. Burn the party down and start over, this time with the Democrats being the right wing party.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Or just get fucking more parties into your parliament… for fucks sake…

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Our system is first-past-the-post and winner-takes-all. Any such system is going to trend towards two powerful parties and the rest are irrelevant.
We need to change the system before we get more than two functional parties.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You're completely right. I never noticed how bad Republicans were as a kid / young adult because I grew up with privileges I didn't know I had. But the more I found out what real life was like: the more disgusted I became. And then Trump came along...

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's been increasingly voting for hatred over money for the past decade. Republicans are willing to suffer and lose money as long as they get to hurt the people they hate.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

these are not RINO's, these are serious conservatives just tired of all the bullshit

2 years ago | Likes 383 Dislikes 3

If you look at it objectively, and not mired in the shit with the rest of them, it's easy to see that modern Democrats are generally center-right anyway. Any moderate Republican has more in common with Democrats than with Trump, but blind party loyalty led them this far. A tiny few are waking up and realizing how far astray they've gotten, but it's hard to know if we can collectively find our way back or not.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We need to win without them in 2028. If you don't think the same shit will happen if we let them back in power you haven't been paying attention.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

RINO is a projection by MAGA who don't actually believe in conservatism or concept of the republic, but keep the name "Republican" while rejecting all the ideals of republicaniam. We have to distinguish Lincoln Republicans vs. modern Republicans, because they are, literally, Republicans in name only.

…and the incoherent marathon rambling sessions every time he opens his mouth. Reminds me of a quote: “It depends. If I am to speak ten minutes, I need a week for preparation; if fifteen minutes, three days; if half an hour, two days; if an hour, I am ready now.” - Woodrow Wilson when asked about speech preparation.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

honestly, i'm glad they're finally speaking up

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The too silent majority.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Bullshit they helped create. Have any of them taken responsibility for their part in creating the current republican party? Have they disavowed the lies and fear mongering they relied on in order to sell their shitty policies? There is no Trump without them.

These assholes are doing just enough to give them a clean conscious. Once Trump is gone (IF we defeat him this year) these fuckers are going to go back to their lies and bullshit to convince poor people to vote against their interests.

2 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

Every single one of these dipshits would vote for a literal nazi if he said the buzzwords better than diaper daddy does.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Serious conservatives left the party years ago. Anyone still identifying as a Republican is a scum sucking asshole of low moral character who only opposes Il Douche because they've been denied a spot at the trough.

As an Ex-Republican myself, I'm confident when I say there are no GOOD Republicans.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Conservatism is not a serious philosophy and we should not give their views that much credit.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I would argue they might be RINOs because the party has now become the party of Trump, and these people want to back track. They are realizing too late that they sold their soul to Trump for a 2016 win.

This is why I made a post (after the attempted assassination) that I DIDNT want trump to die/step down and that he would instead be a poison pill to his party...and it looks like I'm right so far. I know people are concerned about him getting into power, but realistically ANY Republican president would lead to the same results. Only trump is starting to hemorrhage money, funds, and votes

2 years ago | Likes 64 Dislikes 2

In September he gets $3 billion in stock in the stock that Troth Sential is part of. I think it just need to stay above $17 and it’s currently at $23/share.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You think he's using his own funds to campaign or pay off his bills? He's hemorrhaging the Republican coffers meant to pay for the campaigns of OTHER candidates. Granted, at this point I don't think anyone will be seated to vote for Republicans with some extra signage and they are already going hard red, but still.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah shit would be so much worse had he been assassinated. And I say that while fully acknowledging that mixed into my first reactions was “I wish he would have at least gotten him”. But, it didn’t turn him into the martyr I thought it would, it didn’t win him the election, it barely even fuckin registers with anyone now. It would have only increased the existing division, perhaps violently so. Shit feels strange, but for the first time in a long time, I get to feel hopeful

2 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

That's why I think the assignation attempt was from the GOP itself. They would benefit massively from a martyr Trump

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ohio red assholes would beg to differ. That’s all they talk about. While the rest of us keep our heads down trying not to get the “Trump” treatment ourselves.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I saw video of this guy the other day. Seems like a decent dude.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

If he was decent, he wouldn't be a Republican.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

DO NOT VOTE FOR HIM

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I don’t live anywhere near Arizona, and I’m voting straight blue. Don’t fret.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Good. Its clear that they cannot be trusted when they all voted the way they were told to vote when it came down to it last time.
