Agreed in general. In this case, Jones (bride) confessed and provided substantial evidence of her and her husband's involvement. The evidence speaks for itself to how bad the crime was.

Btw German here as well. We have substitute Teachers as well, but more planned then US Teachers. Mostly for Maternity Leave. And they are mostly fully qualified teachers but only getting a temporary contract. Often they have 1-2 those "Feuerwehr-Lehrer" years before they stay at a School permanently. They are mostly not Class-Teachers but for everything else they have the same qualification. Refendare are often used for it as well.

It did happen once or twice that one teacher had to manage two classrooms at the same time for one period, but only with older students who can be expected to work on their own for a while.
I work in Schools. The Teachers have a Teaching Class System, if they cover for others they get Credit points and may get the next half year a class less. Some work that system that they can literally have half a payed year off. And of course they get negative hours when they have a graduate class and those Kids are missing 1 Month before the School closes.
Does this mean that teachers in your school have enough free time that they can cover for another teacher for an entire day as well as teaching their own classes? I know that in my grade school days there were no "free teachers" - every teacher in the school (including the principal) had their own class to teach.
That teacher who was replacing the original one would be considered "substituting" but in the U.S. they let just about anybody who has a high school diploma do it as long as they pass a background check. Some locations require that you've gone to college, but it doesn't even matter what you studied.
That’s the system in Sweden too, but that’s only for the short term things - to fill in for say a person on maternity leave you’d get someone more qualified.
