Every Democrat needs to make one of these as they leave Facebook. At least try one last time with facts to show your families we're right and we won't sink to their level!

With the amount of people in my family and around me that think Trump is just going to immediately make the world better like he can just flip a switch and it's all fixed... I have to try and do something.

A campaign locally for Harris. I've tried everything I could think of to get her in office. My type 1 diabetic wife is scared to death. She also can't carry to term so not only do we have to worry about supply spiking in price, we also have to worry about what happens if she was to get pregnant.

I live here in Ohio and the Ohio seat for women's health has ran unopposed for a very long time. We are currently trying to get the current captain of Rocky River fire department and my brother-in-law who also campaigned for Harris to run for the job The next election cycle.

I need people to understand that posting on the internet does not inflict positive political change. Actions do. Real world actions. These posts either preach to a choir or fall on deaf ears.

Want to fix things? Organize large, loud, angry protests. Organize large, targeted, complete boycotts. Big enough to hurt stocks and keep them going even after you win. Destroy those companies and the rich behind them. Vandalize. Riot. Buck the system to fuck the system. Disrupt the status quo

Trust me man, I completely understand that. That's what I just spoke to my sister about. We need to get boots on the ground. I'm already a registered Democrat Aunt. I'm working on how we move forward for the next campaign.

But trust me, I am also an avid gun owner and am 100% ready for any violence that happens. Will I pursue violence outright? Absolutely not. But we can already tell from the suppression of women's rights and the people on the campuses from the street preachers in Texas that this is going to get violent. I will be on the front lines. My life means nothing if my wife isn't in it with me and I'm just not willing to lose her

But you make a very valid point about the protests. I do know a lot of people that feel the same way I do here in this area. I just need people to understand that they can be prepared for battle when we protest, but we cannot be the ones to incite the violence

My major point I was trying to get across wasn't to start or be ready for violence (but definitely be ready), but rather to 'speak up' in ways that can't be ignored. To be disruptive. Forcefully disruptive. Change, real change doesn't happen with nice words. BLM, as big and peaceful as it was, did nothing. We got token gestures and a few toothless laws.

I think back to the civil war. We shed blood and made progress. A few years after reconciliation, we chose peace and compromise and...

Fell directly backwards. Built loopholes into the freshly won freedoms. The civil rights movements. Gun loving America carved out an exception for the Black Panthers. They will not peacefully listen to reason. If both sides fight in the streets, they won't care who gets hurt or killed. The media might make a ruckus, but those in charge won't really give a fuck. Gotta hit em in the pockets and not relent. Otherwise we get Biden's resolution with the trains for 2 days off. 2.
