Two threats are tightening around Donald Trump at the same time.

Ghislaine Maxwell filed suit late Friday from prison to block 90,000 pages from a civil defamation case brought by Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre, who took her own life last year. The pages include more than 30 depositions and financial and sexual information about Maxwell and others. Maxwell is already convicted and serving 20 years, and nothing in those files changes her sentence, which means someone is paying lawyers to keep you from reading what those people said under oath.

Six Supreme Court justices ruled Friday that Trump never had the authority to impose his signature tariffs. Within hours he launched a new 10% global tariff using a different law, then raised it to 15% today. That's the legal maximum, and it expires in five months unless Congress acts. Americans pay these tariffs through higher prices. Coffee is up 20% in a year. Beef is through the roof. Your grocery bill knows exactly what his decisions cost.

Those 90,000 pages must terrify Trump and other American politicians. The UK arrested former Prince Andrew and held him for 11 hours. Norway charged its former prime minister with corruption and forced its ambassador to resign. American politicians haven't gone near this rabbit hole. Call your representatives and demand every Epstein file be released. You can stay current at our special Epstein Sex Crimes page.

I saw something yesterday that made a lot of sense: "Trump isn't in the Epstein files, Epstein is in the Trump files.".

#8 And so? Isn't that what banks should be doing to terrorist?

#8- JPmorgan is like "My bad bro I thought for sure you were going to jail for treason"

We have a shortage of beef cows, that it not related to tariffs. The cost of a newborn calf is very very high right now. Drought

#10 yes? Accountability is also happening now? Also "fearing" accountability literally tells everyone that it's all shit.

11 wasnt this the prison run by sherriff joe whose treatment of prisoners bordered on borderline fetishistic?

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Sheriff Joe Arpaio. And no, this is state facilities: Arpaio was only Maricopa County.

The armed guy out for a walk near Mar-A-Lago had the exact right idea. He just didn't have enough support.

#5 getting it done right is vastly more important than getting it done quick, space is still pretty hard

Yes, imagine the media if that big bad boy blew up.

I hate banks, especially big bloated ones like JP Morgan Chase, but what they did makes me proud.

1 month ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

Not really. Its a CYA move. They just marked him as someone who could bring reputational damage to the firm

1 month ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

yeah, in a similar way that I'm marked as a risk because I am poor.

Doesn't matter why they do the right thing as long as it gets done.

#6 as someone in the cybersecurity industry, this could be very very bad. not that the rest aren't bad too, but... attacks using AI have increased dramatically over the last couple of years. NIST is one of the only governing bodies with real influencing power that can dictate standards for securing AI. if that influence wanes, we're fucked.

1 month ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

We're fucked anyway gi ven how AI is shoehorned into everything with barely a thoughgt on its security (Hi Clawdbot). Think of it as job security.

Virginia Roberts-Giuffre didn't kill herself...

I appreciate your POV. Honestly, and it's a tragedy no matter what happened. But I'm just a guy. I can only take what the authorities, her family, and media have reported.

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Of course, it was a statement, not an accusation of your good self.
My apologies if it appeared that way.

S'ok. I got pounded hard on Threads over there. It was one of the toughest comment sections I've had on any platform with GovBrief. And I get it. People are righteously livid about it all. I am too. But the quickest way for me to get sued is to start accusing people of murder and pushing it to thousands of politically active people.

#2 - So what special award is he going for now? 'Look what a good guy I am' Award? 'Look how stupid and ignorant I am' Award? ... ha, he'll get THAT one for sure, lol

He is a Clown who thinks he is a magician.
(hospital ship? Surprise! Meal team Six...) /s

It means he can promise it without ever having to follow through. The Red Hats will believe it happened because Great Leader said it did, and it is far enough away in space and time that they'll never think/try to verify that it actually happened.

It is part of setting up the pretext of invasion for his base. "Look at all the things we've had to do to 'take care of' the citizens! We should own it, 'for their good.'"

No special award. He's laying groundwork to frame his planned takeover of Greenland as some kind of humanitarian mission, by pretending their needs are going unadressed by Denmark.

Although I wouldn't put it beyond him to abuse a medical ship to covertly transport troops. After all he never saw a war crime he didn't like.

1 month ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

What I'm reading here is that he's sending a military vessel to Greenland to test the waters / see how Denmark and other NATO allies will respond.

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I believe the answer is he doesn't want to be one upped by Greenland when they had to rescue one of our Submariners having a medical crisis. Either way both ships are supposed to be docked, longer than April. They're planned one year Maint. and Retrofitting. One won't be done til July at the earliest, and the other didn't even make dock until January of this year and won't be going anywhere.
