I wasn't sure about this series with all the millennialish drama (is that wrong to say?) but I actually enjoyed Another Life a lot. It's just so different. I've gotten so tired of super heros and the same old plots and characters. This show had a really unique feel, kinda indie film ish, which is something I've really grown to like about Netflix. I also like low-fi sci-fi, almost more realistic space travel? Even though it didn't seem as big budget at say, Star Trek Discovery, I was more likely to keep watching Another Life and less likely to skip scenes like I did with Discover (so much relationship drama!). And Another just got better with the second season. Then again, I like weird Sci-fi, like Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, Moon, Perspect (amazing sound scape!!!), I am Mother, Tales From The Loop and Firefly.

I'm part way through this. Not bad. Weird that a Cylon is Starbucks mom.
MAN9000
I think one reason I really enjoyed it was that life has been really stressful for me and this wasn't overwhelming like some sci-fi
Orzufancylad
I enjoyed it. I do think they teased a reason as to WHY the crew was the way they were (Willian plot stuff) but it could have been fleshed >

out a bit more. I am glad we got an ending as neat and tidy as we did though. Nice to have Sci Fi series that have an ending.
Tesseract09
Millennialish drama? God, a lot of us are in in 30s now, don't lump us with this badly written crap.
thecowkingdom
The very sexiest of us are nearing 40.(leave this geriatric Millennial his dreams)
MAN9000
Nice. Sassy! You do realize you're are acting exactly like they do on the show.
thecowkingdom
I do not, as I've never even heard of this show before now.
TheUsernameFormerlyKnownAs
Eh I'm not sold on it, but I'll watch it because there so little else around...
MAN9000
That's how I felt at first. Where are you at with it?
TheUsernameFormerlyKnownAs
Around s2e7 I think.
JeffGodofBiscuits
I mean, it's a collection of people making the worst possible choice when given a decision, not to mention the High School level attitudes
MAN9000
I know right. It was almost laughable at first, but somehow that seems more real, like a real worksplace- petty & stupid
JeffGodofBiscuits
Honestly, I thought the exact opposite. They were supposed the be well trained and professional, but acted like they had no clue whatsoever
Tesseract09
If I recall their basis for committing mutiny was "She's older than us"
JeffGodofBiscuits
Towards the very end, I thought it was starting to get a little better, but if they keep the Degrassi in Space stuff for season 3, ehhh.
Orzufancylad
Wait, why would there be a season 3? Story's over. Did they announce one?
JeffGodofBiscuits
No, they didn't, and they wrapped the one arc, but they opened the door for many others in the same way stargate did
MAN9000
Well there's endless possibilities now with some pretty nasty aliens & nice ones too. I liked how the aliens felt alien too.
TomatoPepper
I saw voyagers last night, it sucks. Is it better?
pennyformythought
Voyagers is an absolute wasted 100mins, another life is better than that, but the first season is very meh and super unbelievable
TomatoPepper
How many seasons? Also saw Shazam recently, it wasn't good at all
pennyformythought
2 at the moment, I think they are getting a third but it would not surprise me if it gets cancelled after that netflix hates renewing shows
MAN9000
Another Life has two seasons. Haven't seen Voyagers.
TomatoPepper
voyagers is nothing new, nothing solid, just a meh
