My biggest concern with posts like this (which I support. This is a concern, not a "don't do this") is that it's telling people to show up to protests against ICE, possibly wearing (legal) guns. And this would be fine against normal, sane law enforcement officers. But ICE agents aren't sane. They are people who like to hurt, and they get a thrill from killing. ICE is a place of employment for people who, if they weren't ICE, would be out(1)

He also owns a company making the voter sign-in machine where you check in before you vote that ties you to your ballot. Call me Chicken Little but I think there's going to be a very low turnout of Dems and Independents in some key districts for the mid-terms.

One, everyone has vests. In fact there are many civilian vests that are much nicer than anything the feds/military issue. Two, automatics aren't illegal to own, just very expensive. Three, automatics are illegal to manufacture or convert without a proper license... but not at all *difficult* to convert. Carving a soda can up will get you there, if you feel so inclined.

I have an early mis-annealed M1903 (maybe... the stories vary... generally if your 1903 still exists, it is probably ok... ).. but firing modern 60,000psi 30-06 will destroy an M1 (eventually) as the rifle was designed for 50k psi max M2 ball (which is reduced from M1 ball since it was overshooting US Army ranges... during WW2, M1 ball from WW1 thru the 1940s was used solely in M1919 machineguns, while M2 ball was used in rifles to prevent op-rod damage to the M1 and in the people carrying 1903s

Which worked out since M1 ball was generally being only used in cloth belts for the M1919 and M2 in 8 round en-bloc and 5-round stripper clips for the REMFs forced to carry 1903s (limited to snipers with A4s and the dork-monsters in the chemical corps who never got M1s for some reason, I am pretty sure these were replaced in 1943 when the M1903s were flushed from non-sniper roles)
I have a 1917 M1903 from RIA that I am almost certain has never been fired.
