Seriously what more is there to say? Breyer announced he wanted to retire last week. They haven't even announced a replacement yet. The Republicans THE WEEK RBG DIED, voted on a replacement. This is what pisses me off as a liberal. You give democrats power, say you want these things. They take months to do it for God knows what internal strife they have on just doing things. Just pick someone and vote on them!

The weakness of true democracy is the time it takes to make decisions. Dictatorships are quick and decisive.

Doing things morally and legally takes time. Immoral decision making often allows corner cutting and time saving.

I agree. I fear that the age we live in this practice won't succeed much longer due to Republicans going full evil on everything for power.
BranDohCalrissian
Right? It seems less and less likely as time passes that it's possible to win this by playing fairly.
Jimthebutler
Trump appointed the first person that would vote his way, the democrats want to appoint someone who will earnestly consider the issues.

Not just that but people that are for a Federalist Society that rules for it's own interests and not peoples'.

Unfortunately, I don't believe having had the moral highground will offer much consolation after the Republicans have gutted democracy.

True dat. But we cannot be reactionists justified by perceived need
