In the old days, the bad days, we used papyrus rolls to jot down a number and help us remember it later!

I'm in finance bookkeeping, I'm 3rd line support so I only get problems which could not have been solved by 1st nor 2nd line support.... and I get weirder and weirder stuff and mistakes to solve from the offices. Thet are using AI to beekkeep. The AI makes mistakes. Then 1st line uses AI to 'solve' it whichmakes it worse. Then 2nd line uses AI to solve that, which makes it even worse. An by the time it arrives on my desk it's one giant mess. It takes me HOURS to untangle the mess.

"using AI to [sic] beekkeep" AI for bookkeeping is the dumbest, the dumbest bar none, use of AI I have ever heard of.

I think part of the problem is you're in bookkeeping, and you've got people trying to use AI in bee keeping.

I made that mistake once.

Are you sure the other support isn't AI? What about the customers? Shit, maybe I'm AI?

any use of ai is unforgiveable, even if they're making fun of ai. No excuses, no Forgiveness.

No, you're thinking of your face.

I was going to say that he should have confirmed the number was heard right before leaving, but seeing as it gave a different number the second time, moot point

Both times it missed the 5, didn't it?

1 day ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Yep, and the second time it missed one of the zeros. I was saying that the initial wrong number could be attributed to the system not "hearing" correctly, rather than not "remembering" correctly. The fact that the second time the number was given, it was worse, invalidates that theory

Ah, I didn't notice the missing 0 in the second one.

This is what computers should be good at. Repeating back input, verbatim. Makes me suspect some fuckery is afoot.
