At Grouse Mountain, Vancouver, BC, there is a placard comparing bear sizes of bears in the area. When my brother and his family were visiting us, my brother stood by the placard. His wife asked him why the expression and he said he was pretending to be a bear. He was nearly 6'5". (He died a few years later to brain cancer. I am older than my brother who was born before me.
