#19 and that’s why they blacklisted him.

Excellent dump! You might like /r vampires on reddit if you enjoy romanticizing vampirism so much!

#27 No you absolutely don't. All these romantazied "wild" gardens require daily care and loads of work to look like that. And actually untamed garden will just quickly absolutely overgrown with throne bushes and you can't even get to anywhere anymore.
RighteousRaven
Already done it. I still want it.

So you like to bite or be bitten?
RighteousRaven
Yes
trumpypumpyinyourrumpy
How hard?
Lexgeddon
#1 Gotta point out that Sinners didn't romanticize vampirism. They were functionally and thematically villains, victims, or both.
RighteousRaven
Well, it didn't say it was 'Sinner's' passion.
Lexgeddon
Can't argue with that.

#3 me trying not to fall in love with the vampire princess but then she flashes that smile

Yet another example of the blatant abuse of the term POV

#11 Just gonna do a quick lil edit of that for myself
RighteousRaven
Sometimes I want to have someone there who also values silence and space. Someone who isn't scared of tender moments and being vulnerable can make that other presence less taxing. But for the most part, yeah, leave me alone.
Tolocamp
#15 Always liked the Vampire : The Masquerade franchise RPG for that. Whole philosophical framework to romanticize in dozens of ways and lots of lore to suck up (neurodivergent). There is even a complimentary Werewolf setting attached to it, for the occasional guilty pleasure.
RighteousRaven
Currently in a VtM game! It's a blast.

#9 I can say from both personal and professional experience, self-destructive patterns are often just patterns of survival that have continued past the point they were needed. It's your survival instinct kicking in in the wrong context, essentially. Being aware of the pattern is only step 1 of getting better. If you don't have access to a newer, healthier method for getting your needs met, then your brain will just keep trying to compel you to do what worked in the past. 1/2
doctorId
I myself am very self-aware and do trauma therapy for a living so I can be very aware of exactly what I'm doing and why, but I'm still sometimes susceptible to falling into bad habits when I'm struggling, especially financially. It's part of why poverty is a huge contributor to mental illness, without the time/energy/money to access healthy options, it's very hard to transition to healthier lifestyle/coping patterns. Just do your best and try to go easy on yourself, life is real tough 2/2

Your insight is encouraging. Thank you <3

#35 hear me out: this is the idea behind all inclusive resorts and cruise ships. The problem, of course, is that our late stage capitalist hellscape means the companies that run them treat you like nothing more than a wallet to extract as much money as possible from and cut all sorts of corners.
DoIEvenLyftBro
It's also what old folks homes should be, but they're having the same problem
RighteousRaven
I'm thinking 'cruise ships', but not on a ship, or the sea. More like being dropped in the middle of a mossy forest with a dome placed over me, and every so often someone will come in and drop food in my mouth then leave.

A bed and breakfast? Or a rural or semi-rural ryokan?

"Iso-Pod Resorts: The place between vacation and meditation. Here, you can choose the level of service and interactions you prefer during your stay, even if it's none at all. When you're ready to rejoin society, you can choose a preplanned activity and time at your leisure. You can opt out of choosing food, or provide a menu we will follow to the letter. Choose from a variety of experiences ranging from wilderness cabin, music studio, seaside cabana, to even an outer space capsule."
