Malcolm.

TL;DR: OP is sad about Malcolm Young passing. Made a top 5 list of his performances.

I'm trying to find a way to write a fitting tribute to Fallen Legend and The Greatest Rock Rhythm Guitar Player of all time Malcolm Young. If you don't know the Co-Founder of AC/DC well then Shame on You! This post is going to be my Favourite AC/DC songs/performances Highlighting Malcolm's incredible playing.

5) Ballbreaker - No Bull
I always liked this song, the rapid fire chords and in-sync playing between Malcolm and Angus, the tongue in cheek lyrics as a little tribute to Bon Scott, and steady groove already makes it a great song, but the live version from the No Bull Performance is wonderful. If you don't believe me check it out.

4) Jailbreak - Donington
I grew up with a VHS tape my Uncle gave me of AC/DC Live at Donington, and man I wore that tape OUT, it is an understatement when I say I'm an AC/DC fan. I watch Jailbreak and think man, Malcolm is just steady as a rock while his brother is running around and stripping. Great performance.

3) Let There Be Rock - Donington
Another song that is a Marathon. clocking in around 17 Minutes. Incredibly Fast paced, trying to keep the temp that fast, for that long period of time is no easy task, and yet, Malcolm, Chris, and Cliff make it look effortlessly. Just incredible.

2) Thunderstruck - Donington
This song will always be my Favourite to listen to. The energy they have Right out of the GATE for the Live at Donington performance is Amazing. To be honest the Riff that Angus does for Thunderstruck is great, but the thing that makes it Great is Malcolm's rapid rhythm laying underneath Angus. Listen closely to what Malcolm's doing and you'll appreciate the song more.

AND NUMBER 1...
Any Song from Live at River Plate.

At this point Malcolm had been diagnosed with Dementia, and was practicing songs he knew for decades everyday because of that horrible disease. You pick ANY song from that performance and they are all Dead on and you would never even know that there was something wrong. That's How Amazing Malcolm Young was at his trade. There will never be another, and I had the Privilege to see him perform twice, and I will always Remember those shows. Rest in Peace Malcolm, hopefully you're already reunited with Bon. You will be greatly missed.
