I am old enough to remember that. My uncle was rapt by that and Star Trek...he came out in the 90s and the whole family was like "Yeah, we know, but congrats". In Anchorage, AK in the mid 80s there must've been a Cons going on because I remember him having the full red Kirk get up and I thought it was so cool.
