So, I made a discord server. It's a relaxed environment where you can take/donate memes to the cause, play trivia twice a week, chat about lots of topics or about nothing at all. We also have Jack Box game night and are setting up movie night! Very laid back/relaxed vibe. Come hang with us.

I'm also on the imgcat server for updates & fun:

Gonna be honest, I clicked this dump because I'm on a low salt diet for a surgery and earlier today I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich. They forgot my fucking pickles and they're kinda all I've been thinking about since.

#1 I'd eat that before I'd eat a big mac. That said, McDonald's is disgusting. The last time I ate there, I couldn't get the smell of the bun off of my hands even after several hand washings. What the fuck is that. It should just be bread. Whatever they use for their buns is just foul.
DarthWaiterSE
I can't remember the last time I had something from McDonald's; I think it's been at least three years at this point. They lost sight of being a burger joint, much like other fast food places.
Now, if we're talking In & Out? The place that only has ten different items and they're all done properly?
I'll body check your mother into the cheap seats like a linebacker.
knotwingknot
I don't understand how they make....food...like that, but still cost almost as much as a regional chain with local sourcing like Burgerville. Or a place that's just plain all-around decent like Dave's Hot.
I don't. Fucking. Get it. Someone smarter than me is making a lot of money off this terrible food that I won't buy, and I don't know anyone else who buys it, and I am SO CONFUSED. They lost their niche - cheapness - so what's left?!?!
SirDaemos
Apparently they are more of a real estate company than a fast food company these days.

#21 ill take deep fried pizza every single time
zombiejedediah
I've tried a lot of the others. They're all good.
Scottish deep fried pizza, not that interested. Neapolitan or Sicilian deep fried pizza, OTOH.
Snooj
Every single one of those is some kind of unsavory sounding animal innards and then ... pizza.
doctorId
It's wild that they chose that for Scotland when haggis exists.

Tripe soup in the Balkans is delicious, yo

Absolutely. Bulgarian has a slight edge over Romanian. Greek version is good, but very different.

Horse meat is also great.
For Norway, it should probably say rakfisk instead of lutefisk.

My socks never smell anywhere near as rank as rakfisk does.

I like blood sausage. In the Netherlands we have Bloedworst and Balkenbrij. Mainly in the southern part. They ysed to slaughter a pig every year on farms, 60 years ago and before, and every part of the pig was used. Balkenbrij uses buckwheat flour and cloves and a lot of other herbs and spices.
zombiejedediah
Balkenbrij... Must remember that. Where can you get it in the Netherlands?
Hemelsblauw
Mainly in the province of Limburg and mainly in January, .February

Re Spain: "Calf fries" are a common delicacy across the U.S. Seen them on menus in Arkansas and Colorado, for instance.

LifeWouldBeEasyIfIWereEasyButLifeIsHardAndSoAmI
Live here and yes we have them. Mostly in specialty restaurants, though. They are on very limited menus. There might be a dozen places serving them across the state
ionicseraph
Rocky Mountain Oysters?
AngurProne
That's small pig nuts iirc.
arajad
I've seen them called mountain oysters in the Ozarks, too, I believe.

#21 First, deep fried pizza not like the hard-boiled egg in sausage then breaded and deep fried nor haggis? Also, just "lard"? Do they just eat it straight or something? Same with salted pork fat. Horse steaks I'd try, and sour dough soup could be quite good I'd bet. LOL at Nestle though.
IHeartSwissChocolate
The salted pig fat is called "sala". I used to eat it as a kid in Ukraine. We kept it chilled in the fridge and you just cut a piece off and put it on some "black" bread (sorry dont know the English equivalent for the bread name). It was delicious! But, perhaps related, I now don't eat any pork products and haven't for decades.
NotSoSmartAlek
It's rye bread, but there isn't really an English word for it, since there are so many different varieties of rye bread.
ccentral
The salted pig fat is pretty much what it says: slabs of back or belly fat brined (either wet or dry) for a few days, then seasoned and lightly smoked. It's like having bacon that's just the fat, no meat. Goes well with onion and mustard
NotSoSmartAlek
or just a little salt, and put it on black rye bread.
NeoNeanderthal
Also eaten chilled if not frozen. It's fine.
Arenlor
Yeah, as someone who likes their bacon cooked and not burnt to a crisp because the fat has flavor, sounds just fine to me.
ccentral
You can cook it, it's usually eaten as is. If you cook it long enough it becomes crunchy but not burnt. We also eat it in romania (probably the balkans too), we eat head cheese too. So the graph kinda implies that tripe soup is more horrific than pig fat and head cheese is more horrific than tripe soup.
NeoNeanderthal
The name also implies it's five different kinds of tripe in that soup. It's just the stomach lining.
