26 Imgur Creator Spotlight: @Alonsee made this long cardigan as a gift for someone! (They're going to weave in the ends). This is a lot of work!

So, I made a discord server. It's a relaxed environment where you can take/donate memes to the cause, play trivia twice a week, chat about lots of topics or about nothing at all. We also have Jack Box game night and are setting up movie night! Very laid back/relaxed vibe. Come hang with us.

#25 But where can I get them?!?

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#1 This is classic axolotl behaviour. They are too dumb to live. But they have super regeneration power so I guess that balances it out.

6 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Love that cardigan

6 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thank you 😭😭 it took me ~32 hours. I designed the back in Excel using conditional formatting so I wouldn't have to manually colour in the squares.

#8 this person has never been to an ER in a big city late at night

#4 "Made for sharing"

6 days ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

Am I missing something or is that just a large burger? What's the pizza part?

5 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

At least it looks pretty good. If I get two or three of them I might share one. But since I never go to Burger King that won't happen I guess.

#2 It's the appeal-to-nature fallacy of which also underpins much of right-wing ideology, particularly as the foundation of social hierachy (e.g, women being inherently inferior to men) and ofcourse religion which is often interwoven of which hinges on "natural" notions endlessly. A alot of the racist/homophobic nonsense conservatives love aswell. Funny how the entire ideology fails at the get-go, relying on one of the most basic reasoning errors; no surprise being a moron is a prerequisite.

The funniest thing about this to me is that right wingers cherry pick which parts of every given field of scientific knowledge they will believe in…and it’s sooooooooo often the disproven or outdated stuff.

6 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#24 Well if that ain’t the cutest shit

6 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#8 There are several human hospitals in the downtown core that will give you this experience.

6 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#7 what’s better is that as a ten-year-old I was looking at a tectonic plate map, which made the Earth look like a well-cracked hardboiled egg. I noticed the smaller plates (shell fragments) in the Caribbean, and figured that that was where the hypothetical dino-killer asteroid must have hit. The Chicxulub crater hit the news as the “smoking gun” about ten years later.

I mean, that was Alfred Wegener theorized back in his 1911 paper, supported by similar fossils on both puzzle parts. It took until for "some reason" people got big into mapping the ocean floor to get proof.

6 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Ha if you google chicxulub a meteor comes crashing down…

Thank you for this

#4 I need this in my life.

6 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#13 My city did that in one day about 3 weeks ago. It was a high of 69 with a low of 19. It rained, sleeted, hailed, and snowed that day with gusts of 40+ mph. Northern NY.

6 days ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I think such a week is pretty common in the winter.

6 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh, that was just 1 day, not a week. I live 20 miles away from the Canadian border and 10 miles east of a a Great Lake, Lake Ontario. Also right before you hit the Adirondack Mountains so it’s a snow belt from hell. A normal day in early March is a high of 25 with a low of -5 and snow.

6 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#8 obviously hasn't been to an inner city ER on a Saturday night.

6 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#4 want! although i think it'd be bit soggy in the middle.

Lol, pretty much! The teacher I'm making it for loves cheetah print and the colour brown so that was my inspiration behind it!

5 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Well, that 'long cardigan' is VERY impressive. I cannot imagine the evenings it took to create! One of my friends crochets, and I treasure all of her creative winter and ski caps she has gifted me over the years; here's one in a camo pattern. I am going to share image of your most excellent creation with her.

#24 it's cute, but i think that butterfly was attacking that puppy

Farfalla vs Puppy deathmatch

5 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well, that’s the butterfly’s issue

6 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What language was that?

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Butterflies also love poo and pee, so that might be a very stinky puppy

6 days ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

A butterfly with a stink kink I think.

#12 Actually got to go into one of these once. It was a transatlantic flight in 1976; I was six. No one else was up there but the crew let my brother and I run around and play.

6 days ago | Likes 65 Dislikes 1

Off topic but I thought only young people did that. "...the crew let... I run around..." I never noticed people my age talking like that. Neat.

6 days ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 33

The crew of the airplane, you walnut

6 days ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 3

6 days ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 2

I never heard adults my age use that wrong form of grammar. I thought my comment was quite clear. I guess not with how many down voted me.

6 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

I don't get the down votes either.

6 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And dont be bothered by the downvotes, its kinda peer presure thing, we all been there

6 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I think the problem is (for me at least) i dont even understand WHAT youre trying to say is wrong/weird

6 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"The crew let I run around" is weird phrasing.

6 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The accusative conjoined objects ("my brother and me") was what we were commonly taught in school for our generation but nominative conjoined object ("brother and I") is also correct here and is the currently preferred style choice.

6 days ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 9

"The crew let I run around." OR "The crew let me run around." One of them is correct and the other is incorrect. Why would the rules change when you add "my brother"?

6 days ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

What generation are you? Brother and I is grammatically correct. Remove the Brother and as a test. “I run around” is correct; “me run around is not.” But yes, in everyday speech, people will use “me” and sometimes “myself.” The latter is really jarring.

6 days ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 9

Gotta reread the whole sentence, not just that little bit.

6 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Remove the brother and you have "the crew let I run around the cabin" which would not be correct.

6 days ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

Well that’s the heart of the matter. There are two subjects and verbs in the sentence “The crew” and “let” and “my brother and I run.” With this structure, you isolate both, whereas in yours, you’re eliminating the verb “run,” turning “the crew let” into subject and verb and “brother and me” into objects being acted upon. Because English is nuts, “The crew let me and my brother run” _would_ be correct. Again, if you eliminate “my brother” in the scenario, you’d get “The crew let me run.”

6 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

When in doubt, take the other person out.

6 days ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

okay i gotta ask, how the hell is "the crew let I run around" correct? I understand that choosing between me and I is hard for some people, but just remove the "brother" and see if the sentence makes sense. Also, how can it be "preferred style choice" when it just sounds plain wrong. The crew let I run around. it sounds stupid even if you add the "brother". "The crew let me and my brother run around". That's a sentence that does not hurt the ears.

6 days ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Anything sounds weird if you take apart necessary portions of speech. Why not remove the word I see how it sounds "let my brother and run around" see how stupid that sounds? FFS learn to read.

6 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No sentence hurts ears. It's made up hurt in your head with made up rules about made up language.

6 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

My brother and I were by the crew let to run around 😝
