Regardless of the ability to show compassion, there is an enormous AI debt bubble sitting in global tech companies. While AI is very good at some tasks, there is around US$2tn in debt driving that bubble but the resources required to deliver on current predictions (water/electricity/pollution) and the human cost of success if it replaces jobs at the scale required to repay the investment are enormous.
Humankind is in a bad place (could use some help), poor decisions from government/leadership is greatly responsible for putting us in jeopardy, I do think AI could be used to help finding a way to correct course, but PRODUCTIVITY is not the thing lacking. We need intelligence (human and not) to start sketching a plan for UBI in a way that the oligarchy won't try to sabotage it. Economy bros are tunnelvisioned on stonks going brrr, THIS IS the problem caused by dumb human brains.
