I've wanted to backlight this since day 1, but the Mathias switches don't for through hope LEDs

Lots of cursing, squinting and only one lost smt component, I got legs wired onto all the LEDs.

The LEDs are mounted on the underside of the board and are positioned to shine up through the center drilled hole.

Shame you didn't take pics of the entire process. Still pretty neat, though.

I'm ashamed of the process honestly. Now that I have a better idea, I might do another step by step.

This makes me want to do a similar project.

Hard drawn copper wire would have made this a lot easier. I used 2835 LEDs to make them easier to handle. They're a tight fit in the hole.

Well I would also be making from the start with a backlight to make things way easier.

This wouldn't have been much different. Depends a lot on the board and the keyswitches.

And how ghetto I'm going to make it look.
