.webp is why you open the Snipping took and trace it to the edges and save it that way.
Alternatively you should also be able to change the file by adding .png to the end of your file name (though this apparently doesn't always work? Idk results may vary)

I just use good ol' fashioned Paint to save it as a jpg. No clue if and what I loose in compression or quality but after saving as jpg, I go to the wepb file and delete it permanently. My version of extra-hell.

Changing the extension is like using a Post-it sticker on your car to make it a Ferrari... Extensions are there to make it easy for the system to determine which application you want to use to open that given file, it doesn't control the content.
