my phone message to this very day is : 'Hello?... Hello?... sorry i cant hear you could you speak up? oh wait I am not here right now. Leave a message.' so many people get caught out
In 1997 my answering machine message transitioned from me reciting to usual spiel to me screaming horribly over the revving of a chainsaw. I got a LOT of hang-ups from that message.
And that malware took forever to download too. It really made you appreciate that time is a valuable thing. Watch it fly by as the pendulum swings. Watch it count down to the end of the day. The clockticks life away. It's so unreal.

My current message says basically don't call me, don't leave a voicemail, just text me. Please, dear god, just text.

Never had an answering machine. If it’s important, they would call back.

Your hang-ups are your hang-ups. Don't make them mine.
