AIPAC did the same thing to Kat Abughazaleh. They paid millions of dollars to scare of progressives from voting for her by quoting from a paper she wrote when she was 16 and was conservative. Sadly, it worked. I hope she tries again
Eh, I love Kat and really want her in Congress, but she needs deeper roots in a district before she can expect them to vote for her. She had competitors with connections to the people that she simply didn’t, because she isn’t really from there. I don’t doubt AIPAC targeted her for smears and it had an effect, but she was always an underdog in that race.
Can you imagine the gross cheer that went around the GOP grapevine when they FINALLY dug up some kind of something against someone who is close to Mamdani? I wonder if whoever found it got a bonus or something? Ha, I bet it was an intern and nobody even said thank you.
There's a huge belief in marketing that whether good or bad any type of attention is positive because it drives engagement to make them money so a bunch of assholes are happy to stir the pot and say some outrageous thing to drive the markets, best we can do is disengage from them. I've seen several great and reasonable takes or real callouts with no engagement drowned out in noise because people don't engage. Best ppl can do to help is engage with much better takes, like this dudes on x
I have no idea what this post even is. none of these messages seem to have any discernible relationship looks to me like a guy declares himself gay and calls out some post someone who allegedly did something with a teenage girl made, yet the next box shows Corey Walker, whoever the hell that is reposting something from Jon Lavine whoever that is, about Israel which seems sarcastic but is not only unintelligible in and of itself but has absolutely no context visible../
then you see jon leviine again asking about what someones wife meant in a message which appears BELOW that and the only part thats correlating is the fgts thing yet the way its presented I cant tell what the fuck is happening, the quote from _RamaDee doesnt look like a comment or a repost or anything I cant tell what the hell is the relationship between any of this crap
NYC mayors wife said a gay slur 13 years ago(when she was 15) Gay guy now, says thats not a problem right now and what this other guy(levine) is doing is a much bigger problem. jon levine is one of THOSE people trying to dig up old shit on NYC mayor etc.
I understand more than you may realize. I lived through Reagan murdering my generation of gay men. You can fuck right off with your gatekeeping assholery.
Reposters of screenshots of other apps/networks without reactions/context/source are only interested in feeling smug. (feels like I'm going to be reposting this a lot)
Based on context, I believe Mamdani's wife posted a slur used against gay men when she was 14, Levine tried to mud sling, and the top post brought up some much more heinous things Levine said in response.
Zohran Mamdani's wife Rama Duwaji is the bottom post. The guy above, Jon Levine, works for a conservative rag and is trying to use a 15-year-old post from her to discredit Zohran. Guy above that is saying that's much less of a big deal than things Jon Levine said as an adult very fucking recently.
NYC mayor's wife said some naughty words online about 15 years ago as an edgy teenager online(fag and nigga) that was it, and now magats are out for blood for some reason, they say worse shit daily while in their 50's knowing better.
I haven't looked it up to verify the truth of it, but based solely on context from the image, Zohran Mamdani's wife posted a homophobic slur when she was 15, and some pro-genocide Republican was being disingenuous about it, which a gay guy is calling out.
Pro-Israeli people are upset that the wife of NYC Mayor Mamdami said "globalize the intifada" and that he hasn't condemned it (among other things). So they're trying to start a controversy to tank his administration, including combing through wife's old tweets. When she was 15 she tweeted a gay slur, these people found it, and are trying to publicize it. This gay man says he's not bothered by what a 15 year old said - especially not 13 years after the fact, but Pro-Israel man is more problematic
It's a legit tweet from her account, but the tweet is 13 years old, she was 15 at the time (she's 28 now). Nobody with any sense is going to care what she tweeted at 15, but parents need to keep their kids off social media, and failing that, once you become an adult you should look into deleting all your posts you made as a child, especially if you get involved in politics. Everyone said stupid shit as a teenager, but not all of us have a public record of it.
I do, the UN investigation found no credible evidence of the reported sexual violence, the Israeli's even denied the investigators access to the bodies of people rhey claimed were raped.

why is the starvation and genocide of the irish people by the british crown getting hit by strays here?
Howlingowl
She was fifteen, and therefore in the eyes of MAGA, an adult fully responsible for her own decisions.

"bit fruity" is Matt's podcast title...he is awesome

I'm glad to hear that. I don't podcast. I do find the term derogatory.

Being gay and being trans are very different things. But I wouldnt expect a republican troll to understand.

Minor point of correction: the tweet is 13 years old, she was 15 at the time (she's 28 now).

My bad, he is a republican so I automatically assumed he is a pedo and raped a 15 year old

That's what it read like to me too.

Not an unfair assumption.

Ah, ok. I read Matt's post as calling out some sort of fucked up dating situation rather than being respective ages of the posters.

Yeah, that was my first thought too.

the same shit they bitch endlessly about, "wah you dug up tweets from 10 years ago to cancel me", once again there are no principles, only narratives
BobTheBogus
Yay, more holy war and violence. Why have a stupid local conflict, when you can have a stupid global conflict ❤️
Tolocamp
Thanks for clearing it up. And once again, the only thing you can rely upon concerning twitter drama, it will be stupid.

Holy mother of fuck. Digging a thirteen year old tweet from a fifteen year old and trying to fabricate outrage about it?

Did she even actually say that, or are they just making it up like they did about her husband?

I don’t mean the tweet in the post, I mean did she say “globalize the intifada”?

I don't think this comment is really that bad. But I was a bit taken aback at the comment spinning Oct 7th conspiracies she liked.
