2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Not super niche cuz it’s an anime you can find on Netflix.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The only surprise in the second panel is that anyone looks surprised.

2 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

I love that Senshi's expression doesn't change at all.

Acid blood makes xenomorph babies spicy!

A fantastic anime

Guy is REALLY into seeing new monsters and eating them.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Those characters are in an anime called Delicious In Dungeon. The blonde guy and the helmet guy can't not eat any monster they happen upon.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The acid blood might be a little difficult to contend with, but I'm sure Senshi has a means of cooking xenomorph that will make them edible, either by draining the blood or by neutralizing the acid with an extremely strong base.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Honey, cream, and sugar are good for making a dish more alkaline, cutting acidity. Sounds like xenomorphs lean toward being deserts.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

PSA: Neutralizing a strong acid with a strong base can cause a violent exothermic reaction. It's almost always better to use a large volume of water and dilute it.
(My mom once made a mistake like this in the driveway. Fortunately, nothing was harmed.)

Somehow I doubt it.

The text has been changed, same as the other one. I don't remember really much of any smut in word or deed in the whole manga. (I recall monster boobs but that's about it)

Dungeon Meshi…they make delicious food with monster parts

Laios is also a complete psychopath when it comes to his monster eating desires, but in the funniest way possible.

Awesome show with the best cat girl.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Is this a good anime? What would be comparable ones to it?

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

It's good, nothing quite enough like it to reference. Serious in the right spots, funny in the rest.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's hard to categorize and say that it's like X or Y show, but I can also recommend it solidly. It does get a bit more serious as the season goes, but by the time that happens you'll be enamored enough with all of the characters it'll just feel right all the way through. One of the few anime I've watched as it aired instead of forcing myself to wait so I could binge it, and it was worth.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It has aspects of a cooking anime, but it's also adapted by Studio Trigger who are known for things like Kill la Kill, which is also very apparent in the amazing fight scenes. Eat or be eaten!

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There isn't much that's comparable, but it's a great anime! There isn't a bunch of gratuitous sexualization, it's creative with how it handles the monsters, and I love the English va's!

2 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

It was airing at the same time as Friren and I wasn’t blinded by that’s shows amazingness and still enjoyed this one. Very few others got that privileage if ya ask me!

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It’s great. Think food anime meets D&D anime. You think it’s sort of frivolous in the beginning but it was secretly laying the ground work for a story line that is deep and satisfying

For those unaware:

Wait, is it back? I need more episodes!! I have so many unanswered questions!!!

I thought I would like this show. I was surprised how much I ended up loving it.

I was certain I'd hate it. ended up loving it instead XD

Perhaps my favorite anime ever.

Is this any good or only meme-worthy? It's been on my Netflix recommendations for the past week.

Some of the most meme-worthy shows are also the best. You wouldn't see so many memes if it wasn't popular. Exceptions usually involve >

terrible but more mainstream things, like Morbius.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh it's so good. It uses all of those stale "D&D adventurers exist and society doesn't treat them like outlaw sellswords for some reason" tropes that I hate so much, yet somehow manages to make all of them work, or even be downright charming. Takes a couple of episodes for the characters to cook (pun intended) before they become interesting and downright fun, but the world-building-through-cooking gimmick holds up until everything gets going.
It's delightful.

2 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

It's amazing. It starts off as a slice of life but there ends up being a plot, with an end point. The manga is finished so you do not need to worry about fillers

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Imagine a D&D campaign where you cook/eat everything you kill, and also make holy ice cream.

One of the most inventive series I've seen in a long time. It's great.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Haven't seen the anime yet, but my top five manga, if not favorite manga ever.

2 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

First three books come in Monday, waiting on the fourth to get back in stock at the end of the month! Can't wait!

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Definitely loving reading the manga while I wait on the new anime season. Both have their strong sides, particularly the side-stories and extra detailing on the ingredient lists for the bizarre recipes.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's top five just on Marcille's slowly growing horror and/or acceptance of her fate of eating Laois' cooking.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's a fun series, and well-made. It is not going to change your life or anything, but if you like anime and/or like D&D (or just fantasy in general), you'll probably enjoy it.

Or cooking

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The best anime series I've watched. Studio Trigger of Kill La Kill fame adapted it. Can be a slow burn but give it some time to get to know the characters as things heat up.
