Yep! But you'd be surprised the shit the students in med school come up with. My mother taught surgical skills to med students, so basically practical studies for doctors.Honestly, those guys really aren't always the smartest, or kindest, in the room at that stage of their life! My mother is a fking cunt, but nothing to do with LGBT, and she told me a couple of stories of homophobia in the classroom that had to be shut down, that was 15-20yrs ago though. Hopefully they've grown up since then

Well, what we can be reasonably sure about is that there is a lot of reason to think it's not 2 sexes and 2 genders and one sexuality. So, start with that, and we can work on sorting out how much more we need to account for in order to keep people healthy and happy.
The idea of "well, science isn't 100% on this, so let's just stick with 'male/female' and 'straight' as the only real things to based medicine on" gets a lotta lotta people extremely dissatisfied and/or dead.

Very few things are definitively known, but we've been able to identify a lot of systems, structures, etc., that play roles, even though we haven't figured out the fine details.
We understand MORE than enough to know that these things don't just happen for no reason and with no mechanism of action, and we sure as shit know that people don't just make it all up on a fucking whim.

As a older man married to a woman for 30 years but who has enjoyed sex with many more guys than gals before marriage as well as having played around with crossdressing starting as a young teen, I absolutely know sexuality and gender identity is not formed or acted upon as a whim. And I've read studies concerning sexuality development - some clearly bullshit like the dominating mother trope - and others that looked at genetics and hormonal factors, etc. Nothing conclusive that I've seen however

At minimum this shows a physiological difference, which in turn indicates a genetic difference. I'd liken it to looking for missing keys: we may not know *exactly* where they are, but we know what room they're in now.
The "is there a biological reason" question has long been answered, and with as much certainty as science ever provides.

This is a fun and cathartic thing to say, but the reality is that they are, and that’s a reality that many doctors who aren’t hateful have to deal with. They recite an oath to do no harm and heal the sick and injured, that includes people they don’t like and who might hate them. Any doctor who can put aside their personal biases to deliver excellent medical care is worthy of praise, even if it’s what they’re supposed to do.

Inhuman simply meaning "not human" means the dogs, cats, squirrels, and other animals are equally as "inhuman". It would be clearer to say that being "inhuman" means that you're acting "like an animal", but then we have to remember that humans are also animals.
