It sucks because when you tell it specifically not to be a sycophant and to actually tell you whether or not your thoughts or ideas are stupid or misguided or whatever, you still don't know whether or not it's being legitimate with you because now it's just doing exactly what you asked and that is just as much of a sycophant as gassing you up, except now it's just being negative because I told it to. It sucks.

And that's why managers love it. It gives them what they want to hear when they ask for an opinion, not an actual opinion.

I think it mostly sucks because you're asking the computer for an opinion

It sucks because it's paying a dollar and pouring out a water bottle on the ground to give you a nice sounding wrong answer.

Well I mean, I own the PC, it's running a local model, it's air-cooled, and my power is largely solar generated. And that's why I was talking specifically about opinion or idea questions or feedback, because we're talking about something that doesn't necessarily have a "right" answer, and it's good to get a wide variety of feedback, but at the same time you also don't get good feedback from actual people because honestly they just suck at being interested in anything you have to say, so I ask AI

So you've prompted yourself stupid. https://time.com/7295195/ai-chatgpt-google-learning-school/

You're the one sitting there saying you can't talk o people anymore so you ask a computer to tell you your pretty and handsome and [completely wrong answer]
