Kristi Noem spent the training budget on herself and her friends.

She commissioned nearly a quarter billion dollars in ads routed to a company her spokesperson's husband set up 11 days before the contract was awarded, then starred in them herself on horseback at Mount Rushmore. While she was doing that, she cut ICE training by 40% and eliminated most of their hands-on evaluation before sending 900 agents into the field. At today's Senate hearing, Republican Sen. John Kennedy called it "spending porn." Sen. Thom Tillis called her leadership "a disaster." Committee chairman Chuck Grassley, a Republican, said "mistakes were made."

It's not just Congress. A federal judge in New Jersey ordered ICE agents to sign declarations under penalty of perjury after finding 17 violations in three months. In Minnesota, Chief Judge Patrick Schiltz has documented more than 200 violations and is threatening criminal contempt, which could mean jail time for federal officials. He wrote that he knows of no other moment in American history when a court had to threaten contempt "again and again and again" to force the government to follow the law.

#3 Not enough people are talking about how insane it is that the President of the United States says we should escort ships through the Strait of Hormuz. Why is that a bad idea? The Strait is narrow, would be very easy to send missiles and drones to sink ships from Iran. In general the US Navy likes to be at stand-off range in combat. Not you know in missile range.

I don't know why the news harps so hard on "gas" prices and ignores diesel.

Fuck 11 pennies, diesel shot up $1.00+ in the last couple days and the Strait of Hormuz isn't even closed.

Diesel affects freight delivery of goods and prices of those goods are already through the damned roof because of tariffs.
Fuel surcharges PLUS tariffs? Ouch.

Rural stations are even higher at $4.69 for diesel right now. Thank fuck we have double tanks and can bypass needing to fuel in the outskirts.

Excellent point about the transportation costs. Kitchen table economics always hit harder. Hell, we're still trying to convince people that foreign countries don't pay tariffs when shipping to America.

To be faire, WHO recommends that patients tested positive to measles should be given vitamine A supplements. They are proven to prevent eye damage, sight loss and to lower mortality rates to 50%. However, this treatment is not a cure, nor does it prevent contamination.

To be fairer- you will not need Vitamin A supplements if you get immunised against Measles.
In addition you will not weaken or kill immune compromised humans, such as those being treated 4 Cancer.
And babies too young to yet be vaccinated , you also will not kill them.
