Elected officials last talked about Muslim Americans this way in 2001.

Republican members of Congress have spent the last four weeks saying they would choose dogs over Muslims and declaring they don't belong in America. The Speaker of the House called Islam a "misguided religion" to justify the Iran war, then refused to condemn any of it, calling the rhetoric "popular sentiment."

Today, a man previously imprisoned for helping ISIS attacked a Virginia ROTC classroom, and another man drove a truck loaded with explosives and a rifle into a Michigan synagogue with 140 children inside.

What followed 2001 reshaped America for a generation. Now the rhetoric is running ahead of the violence, not behind it, and it's being road-tested as midterm election talking points during an unpopular war against a Muslim nation. After a classroom and a synagogue were attacked in the same day, Senator Tuberville fanned the white-hot extremist flames by posting pictures of the burning Twin Towers next to New York City's first Muslim mayor eating dinner during Ramadan and calling him the enemy inside the gates.

Call your representatives and demand they go on the record. Every member of Congress who stays silent through these bigoted attacks is permitting hate speech against their own constituents. We all own what happens next.

#1 Tuberville has always been a tumor, this is just him getting quoted. #16 Gee. I wonder what he brought to the fucking table there.

US is such a disastor is a country. There are people profitting off the chaos and idsorder and you know for a fact that not a single soul will face justice after Trump is gone. The corruption will just get pushed underground again like it has been for decades

You're welcome. Persist with some downtown this weekend so you're fresh for the fight.

So the Republican congress members have gone full throated KKK over muslims, to somehow support Trump's war in Iran?

4 weeks ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

That appears to be the case, yeah. The jerk who said the bit about choosing dogs over Muslims a couple of weeks ago literally posted this week, "We need more Islamophobia, not less. Fear of Islam is rational."

It didn't change America for a generation, it changed it permanently.

4 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Sure hope not, but it's only been a generation. Point taken though.

Wow a particularly bad day

Senator Coach is a travesty. He's up 15-20 points in polls for Alabama governor. :(

I am not Moslem, but I have attended Iftar more than once and it is a heart-warming experience much like Christmas as far as the festivities and banquet. Recommend 10/10.

Just another cancerous tumor that never should have been able to get where he is.

The moon rocket going on April 1st just tweaks my disaster gauge. Feels like this is being attempted on a shoestring budget and being rushed. Losing some astronauts out by the moon seems right on par for this administration. Here's hoping I'm wrong.

I worry about Isaacson in that role, and I worry about how many people NASA has lost.

But you're spot-on with the pushing. They talk about wanting an Apollo style program without resourcing it like one.

Ah, there it is! Lifting Russian oil sanctions. I'm pretty close to Bingo on 2026 already.

What's on your list and what's the next one that will give you bingo?

They really, really, want this to be a holy war.

4 weeks ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

They really do and all the screaming about Sharia law, which isn't a thing anywhere in the U.S., really doesn't detract from the fact that Christian nationalism is infecting governments from the bottom up.

Thank you. I was wondering if Imgur ate your post again. Wishing you solid comfort and good sleep.

It's been a week of big volume, lots of regular work, and being a little under the weather. But I appreciate everyone's care -- I really do.

I'm going to go look like a doggo now because Imgur is always my final stop.

Yesterday, articles were being posted saying Iran planned to hit California with drones. Today, articles are being posted that someone stole 4 drones from a military base in Kentucky back in December. Looking a lot like a coming false flag

4 weeks ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

I called it as soon as I heard the news about drone attacks in CA. They're hardly even trying to be clever about this crap anymore. And it's still working with his base/ultimate goals. FFS

4 weeks ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Well they dont want to Falae Flag a red state. Crippling a Blue State, *AND* declaring Postponed elections is his goal.

4 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

For sure. But, I'd point out that his war is pretty unpopular. Even something like 1/4 ish of Republicunts aren't so sure about it. IIRC it's over half for the so-called "independents." If Trump really wanted to get more overall support for said war, it'd be more effective to have a red state attacked. Republicunts don't care if blue states get bombed. You can bet the holdouts would immediately rally if the attack was on their home turf. They mostly care about things that affect them personally.

4 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The drones stolen are for scouting. Specifically, the Skydio X10D reconnaissance drones. What you really need to pay attention to are the fact that the LUCAS drones are 1 to 1 copies of the Iranian HESA Shahed drones. Just redo the paint job and suddenly you have "Iranian Drones" hitting California.

4 weeks ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I noticed they didnt appear to be combat drones. I figured their workaround for that is strapping explosives and hitting something highly combustible, then claiming the wreckage as proof it was combat drones or some bs.

4 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Nah, these drones don't have such a carrying capacity. The more worrying aspect is people pulling them and their software apart, get what makes them tick first, then figure a way to reactivate them and send a viral payload back to the servers for more damage while making their own copies.

This will take a lot of time to read. How long did it take to curate?!

Have you thought about doing a GB's Recommendation? As in "if you only read one today make this it". I know we get statistics for most clicked articles, but on days (weeks) like this, it's nice to have a place to start. Aside from the beginning, of course. Thank you for all you do!

This week has been really big. Every day is running 20%-30% above normal in terms of volume, but I've got the normal volume down to an art. I have stories publish in sort of a rough order of severity. The top is always things like Extremism, War, Environment, Health, Science -- things that affect people everywhere. That's followed by the government systems -- courts, congress, executive branch, etc. Finally it wraps up with categories like grift, arts, and media. So read down. :)

Oh, fighting back always appears last, and ANNOUNCEMENT (3 layers down in a comment), I'm toying with a single good news/good government/good system story right above that.
