Donald Trump can never run for office again, but he's still fundraising, this time with photos of America's unburied war dead.

A Trump-linked PAC named Never Surrender Inc. sent donors a fundraising email this week built around a photograph of a dignified transfer, the military ceremony where the fallen come home for the last time. The pitch offers a "National Security Briefing Membership" to anyone willing to "CLAIM YOUR SPOT."

Thirteen Americans have died in a war Congress never authorized. Multiple U.S. embassies have come under attack, and this week the State Department told Americans to get out of Iraq immediately, by land.

Soldiers who've carried the caskets of fallen American service members say the weight tells them everything. The caskets are all the same. What's different is what's inside, and their arms know it the moment they lift. That weight is what came home. "CLAIM YOUR SPOT" is what the president's operation thinks it's worth. He's inflicting his second term on this country, and in November, it's time to start putting checks and balances back in place. If you're not registered to vote, do it today at vote.org.

===IMGUR MESSAGE===

Don't know what happened yesterday, but it's been part of a trend that has seen views over the last 3 months drop yet again 50%. I've never had a day as sparsely viewed as yesterday. In fact, yesterday was 27% below Christmas Day!

What can I say. The platform is clearly making a choice. I hope you'll sign up for GovBrief's email in case I'm permanently locked out or suppressed. There are chat modes there as well as email and other links. I answer all my email and read every chat message.

Think of it as a failsafe as the slide to becoming Thunder Dungeon continues. Not that there's anything wrong with TD. It's just not the community that Imgur was.

I believe that is exactly what Australia did.

I saw the post from yesterday, so I just want to let you know I haven't gone anywhere and appreciate all the hard work you're putting in to keep us informed.

3 weeks ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 2

You're very welcome. Glad that you are here.

I read your email reports every morning. Thank you so much for continuing to this every single day, I've shared this resource with everyone I know.

3 weeks ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

I really appreciate knowing that because it's exactly why I do it every night. And tonight I even wrote about news and attention deserts. Thanks for spreading the word.

Correction: He can never run for PRESIDENT again. He CAN run to be a Governor, Senator or member of Congress.

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yes, fair point.

#6 "threatens". Fuck 'em. Threaten all you like buddy, put in the paperwork or Fuck off!

Its a pity most of these bureaucratic asslickers won't get any comeuppance.

3 weeks ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 2

Because, even they know it won't hold up in court.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes, that is the gist of my comment 👍

Carr should be shot from a canon.

The slide is real. Imgur has definitely shifted in values and makeup. Still gonna post cat pics and hope.

Thanks as always OP

Absolutely. When I go I'll be whimpering but comforted by memories of ancient Secret Santa events. I really miss Imgur Secret Santa!

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Secret Santa was a really cool tradition. A gift exchange between actual strangers to show that there's a person behind the username. Very personal and unique

Your lists is amazing, iread them every day. I would love to know how you curate it daily.

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm so glad they work for you. That's gratifying to learn. It's probably too much for this comment space, but it's never been less that 25 hours a week, some weeks are over 40. It's 60-90 mins with about 25 news sites, taking notes, another hour or two writing, setting up the website, sending out the email, running off a light version for social media and delivering that to 6 channels. The website is the sole source of truth. Everything is there. Email gets a lot of it, and social media some.

George—

Some of us follow your Substack, but love the color coded photo summaries, as that's how some of us get news like this to our borderline MAGA brainwashed family members who wouldn't look this stuff up otherwise.

It's a really useful tool, could you possibly include them in either those posts on Substack, or adding them to the GovBrief newsletter? Sometimes you need those flashy colorful color-coded items to garner their interest. Especially if you're being silenced by Imgur.

Thanks!

It's one of my pet peeves about Substack (which, tbh, is free). The formatting is exceptionally limited. I would literally have to make each heading an image and paste them in. Not happening. But I highly recommend the website, which has color coding in card formats. Someone compared it to a Monopoly game. Here's a link to today's post:

I have eaten ice cream directly from a cartoon so I'll say nothing about this specimen.

Point of Clairification: Trump is absolutely allowed to run for President again. The text of the amendment states that he cannot be ELECTED a third time.

I say let him run for a third term.

Worst-case scenario is that he runs as an independent and splits the Republican vote, ensuring a Democrat victory. Best case is that he runs as a Republican, ensuring that the Democratic candidate essentially runs unopposed.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 6

Why would you even suggest that? They already ignore the laws, if he was allowed to run, the same things that are supposed to prevent the illegal things he does...you think they will suddenly be functional again?

I can't say this with enough emphasis,

FUCK NO

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I share these with my conservative acquaintances every day. They don't like it.

3 weeks ago | Likes 69 Dislikes 2

I'm astonished that they can read.

Only the top 47%

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That was a true laugh aloud. Thanks!.

I work in construction in Canada. One guy has a "Trump for Prime Minister" sticker on his F-150.i may get fired but worth it

3 weeks ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 1

I follow your substack and I like the condensed color coded version here too. The horrors persist. The algorithm is going to be against anyone fighting back against the propaganda machine. Stay strong

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Substack made their free product work because it's ancient HTML commands that can be read on any device or operating system. They literally do not have font or background colors. I use images for social media. Honestly, the best format is on the website because there are embedded links, images, etc.

I don’t know what happened yesterday but I got no notification, but I did today for this one.

3 weeks ago | Likes 74 Dislikes 2

That's great to hear!.

3 weeks ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 1

Yep, I was about to comment that as well

3 weeks ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

On my end, double-checked my follow settings and it had somehow changed off of "when user posts" over to the "most viral". Somewhat sus, as I had it set to any post, originally.

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Mine hadn't changed and I still didn't get a notification D:

But I did today. So, hopefully a bug.

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Same.

Yeah, same here! Was a little worried, but glad to see you're okay! I'm going to sign up for the email now.
