The permanent record your teacher threatened you with is real now, and the federal government is the one building it.

A grand jury in Washington has subpoenaed Reddit to unmask a user whose offense was criticizing ICE and posting "TSA sucks." The Justice Department went back to court Thursday and demanded the right to search a Washington Post reporter's phone and laptops, and the 1,200 sources stored on them, three months after the FBI raided her home at dawn. And an appeals court just restored DOGE's access to the Social Security records of 300 million Americans, even after the government admitted its own people shared that data with a political group trying to overturn election results.

None of this requires a wiretap or a warrant or any particular respect for the Constitution. It requires an administration that treats your data the way it treats everything else: as something it's entitled to, and you're not entitled to question. Call your representatives through Resistbot and 5 Calls and demand congressional hearings on federal data collection, because the file they're building on you grows every night they go unchecked.

#9 Pardon for what, exactly? *insert chasing goose meme*

Number 7 VIOLENTLY pisses me off. That's NOT data you can just renew like a credit card. That's the kind of shit that allows bad actors to impersonate you with impunity and there's literally nothing you can do about it. Years down the line, we're going to see countless identity fraud situations and potentially our Social Security funds drained to some corpo looking for easy money.

At this point the constitution is meaningless since they are violating it every single day.

Thank you, George. I hope you have a good weekend

Well done to the crew of the Artemis! Boo hiss to everyone in the white house. The hardest thing to believe about #2 is that anyone would take his numbers seriously. He just... Says numbers. 450000? Now that's definitely 5 million. Who has time to count zeroes?

Nested kitties. Thanks OP!

There will be no penalty BTW.

5) ..... *A grand jury* went along with the idea to subpoena criticism of ICE. Who'd they fill the jury with, MAGA bootlickers?

8 hours ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

there is a reason the old saying was you could get a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich. unlike normal juries, they dont need to convince everyone, they get a bunch of people and only need to convince a portion of them. and ontop of that there is no defense presented. just the prosecutors going in there and saying whatever they want and presenting a slanted view of things.
in normal times, they would still try to present realistic cases, so they didnt lose later, but they dont care anymore.

#4 Alaskans, if you are here, listen to me, DO NOT lose ranked choice! I don't care if you are republicans or democrats. Ranked choice is how you, yes YOU get to vote in the candidate you like the most. The reason every single politician in this country hates it is because it is ACTUALLY how a democratic vote should work. Ranked Choice has the power to beat dark money. Mamdani won because NYC uses ranked choice voting. There isn't enough space here to stress how important ranked choice is

The old fart trumpsuckers up here have been loudly trying to get rid of it since we voted for it six years ago. This season's ballot measure to attempt to get rid of it also includes a provision to *reduce* campaign funding transparency...

So that's why the hardwood is swelling.

What's up with the appeals courts?

10 hours ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Some of them are defending the Constitution and the rule of law. Others, are not.

10 hours ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

A *substantial* portion of the federal courts is now Federalist Society cancer.

7 hours ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

That appeals court is wild...
It really seams like a pay to win game.

9 hours ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

It...is. Read some of the ToS's you've signed over the years. That's just what companies can do to you unchallenged. The Fedischists have way more power.

4 hours ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What I find wild is all the flip-flopping with all these appeals just in general. The rulings often seem to change and go back and forth all the way up to SCOTUS or some higher court. I feel like our legal system should be more robust, such that rulings are made with a degree of confidence where appeals courts generally agree with the lower court rulings except in rare cases. The flip-flopping indicates to me that our legal system isn't objective, is inconsistent, and sucks (no duh).

#5, if Reddit gives up people, they will lose users. All they will have left are bots and clueless folks who dont care. Ive got a fairly well built account there. Ive been on the verge of deleting it because of the fuckery going on, but if they give up someone at the behest of the pedo, I'll delete it completely. I hope that others will see and follow suit.

10 hours ago | Likes 61 Dislikes 1

reddit already gives up users. the canary died back in 2016, if you have not been using throw aways since then you may have already had your reddit data given to the feds. i make a new reddit account yearly since im sure i leave too many personal details laying around to be safe-ish otherwise.

7 hours ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Sorry to break it to you, but the goberment can/will still find you if they want to. Creating a new account every year won't do much other than make them find several accounts tied to the same IP address and so on. Given their resources it won't throw them off the trail for long. Nothing is private it on the internet if you have enough savvy and resources to dig up dirt.

Already been banned from that shit hole platform. Sucks that many game communities basically only exist on there or discord for user support and connections. Unfortunately, I cannot stand using discord as a replacement for forum style communication. So I'm effectively blocked from being a part of the wider community of some games but it is what it is.

And Discord is a corpse being worn by Tencent. There are no community spaces for games that are doing well =(

If It was a threat to the president then it would be fair but pretty sure criticising something is well within your American so called free peach.

9 hours ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

would be funny if the anonymous users were bots speaking out against ICE

At least some (potentially) good news: https://www.axios.com/2026/04/10/raskin-demands-trump-cognitive-test-in-25th-amendment-push

They’ll lie, cheat, and steal about that too, just like every single other thing. Hopefully it pisses him off and he has a massive stroke.

9 hours ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

hot take: They need to push for impeachment too. 25th Amendment stuff would be disruptive, but removal through the 25th is actually more difficult than for impeach+remove. Impeach+remove needs simple majority in the House and 2/3 in the Senate. 25th Amendment removal needs 2/3 majority in BOTH the House and Senate, and that vote may only happen after a bunch of back-and-forth paperwork.
