Arab states call for Hamas to surrender - this could be the turning point.

Jul 30, 2025 1:30 PM

Arab states such as Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Egypt joined calls Tuesday for Hamas to disarm and end its rule of Gaza.

This could mean a possible end to the war.

Neighbouring arab states have previously been reluctant to take refugees from the war between Hamas and Israel.

A little background on the reluctancy:

These people were complicit in allowing Israel to murder trends of thousands. They are not the good guys. This should have been done a couple of years ago.

Seriously tho, both Hamas and Israel/IDF should be prosecuted for war crimes.

Absolutely.

Nettie and his asslickers can only stay in power if the war goes on. Knowing that alters a little your outlook.

But it sure makes it a bit easier to end this - Saudi could even persuade Iran to stop supporting.

Hamas should surrender to the UK and revert Gaza to a British mandate territory. Only way they surrender and Palestine still exists.

Huh. Rarely do I consider more colonialism to be the answer, but at first glance, that seems like an out-of-the-box idea that may have merit. Israel isn't going to stop unless there are armed people standing in its way.

That is an interesting solution.

I refuse to believe IDF intel is so bad that hamas still exists in gaza after all this. Surrender won't stop anything.

That all depends. There is a lot of support for Hamas in Gaza. There is also just now signs of opposition againt the organisation. Things are moving the right way!

Genuine question: who the hell is left of Hamas' leadership?

I havent seen a single representative of theirs outside random declarations over social media that did not have a face attached to it. Which makes me suspect there really isnt anyone coordinating their efforts anymore.

Who would even have the authority to force them to stand down? And whose to say Israel wont do psyops to pretend Hamas never surrendered and kept fighting?

This is also a valid angle. I wonder who from outside of Gaza would take upon them to release all the hostages. That would be a good way to show who is in charge.
