I don't know if I liked Lower Decks better than Orville but it's pretty close and definitely one of my top that play in the background to drowned out the silence lol
I mean, season one of TNG was unwatchable dreck but people remember it fondly. & season 2 of Disco was better overall than season 3 if only because the shorter seasons didn’t give them room to flesh out the unfamiliar 32nd century
The first season starts out way too McFarlane-y, but thankfully tones it down as the season goes on. Second season is great, but the third was mixed. I liked a lot of the actual story, but hated how forced the addition of Seth's newest (at the time) girlfriend's character was, which was made worse because she was just so one-dimensional.
The McFarlane-y made it better imo. People take trek way too seriously and the format (before the move to streaming) had gone stale as an episodic show.
No, it definitely didn't. I didn't want family guy in space, and toning it down let him show off that he could actually act rather just make references.

The Orville has some of my favourite Star Trek episodes.

It's not even a joke to say that The Orville is one of the best Star Treks ever made.

That was a very popular feeling towards STD.

Which STD? Chlamydia?

But look out, it's Lower Decks from the top rope! Better star Trek, better humor, the Orville is down!

Discovery would have been much better received if the story started at season 3. Those first 2 were utter dog shit.

Probably true but I also felt the future they had written kinda pissed on everything that came before it too.

Aren't they making a fourth season now?

I don't think LA is filming anything at the moment.
