Well, the feral kittens that were born in my bedroom have over downstairs on their own. 9 weeks old. They've discovered the food dishes and do their best to make sure they don't stay full.

I got my cat an auto feeder. It just was like a toilet bowl with a tank full of food that would drain into the bowl as the bowl was drained. He could eat as much, ot as little as he wanted.
