The democratically elected president of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, has written a letter directly to the American people. The entire text is included in this post.

P.S. Yes, we did conspire with Reagan to keep your hostages, guaranteeing Carter's loss in 1980. All that has followed, the transfer of wealth from the poorest to the richest, the dismantling of your social safety nets, and the entire population of homeless people you bear now are a direct result of that conspiracy.

The government of Iran did not do all these things to you directly, but we helped.

Enjoy, great satan!

Given my political position in 2026, my assumption is that this must be accurate, because the alternative is that "Operation: What Epstein Files?" is justified by something Iran did which seems ... unlikely. And if accurate, it's commendable. But is it accurate?

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm waiting for some other country to release the unredacted Epstein files. My country won't do it.

"We negotiate with bombs because Donald Trump is a businessman and master deal-maker, hyuck hyuck"- MAGA

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You know things are fucked when it's the Iranians making the rational, level-headed statements.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

magatard - TLDR give us our oil back

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I wish we could apologize to him. Like, it wasn't us. It was one dickhead

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't apologise, learn history. This didn't start with Trump. America has been interfering in Iran's business since the early 1950s. And also, check your own side. When you consider your options in primaries for example, check if they always couch criticism of Trump's war inside criticism of Iran. If they're basically saying "Iran is the worst imaginable, but Trump isn't attacking them the right way!" then they don't care about Iranians.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

the Persian Empire was pretty big at one point, so I wouldn't say 'never'... :)

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dear Mr. Pezeshkian,
This was not our idea. It comes down to one raving lunatic and his raving yes men and, I strongly suspect, a large file of damning evidence that said lunatic and yes men will raise hell - and raze Iran, I'm sorry to say - to keep the greater American public from focusing on.

We're not like this, really. The great majority of us just want to live and let live, really.

Dune was written about powerful, high-tech empires getting wiped in battle by hardened warriors from harsh desert lands

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is what you get when a huge chunk of your government are doctors.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just a quick reminder that Iran is still a wildly repressive and brutal government. The fact that they're being attacked by genocidal Israel and fascist US doesn't suddenly make them the good guys.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Now please turn this into a 1-minute show and tell video for orange blob. By the way, you forgot to mention Epstein as the key driver.

1 week ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The message isn't for the orange blob. It's for you.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

"Death to America" is aimed at our government, not at our people. But I foresee that Iran will back groups that will want to create deaths among us to get back at our President. His global domination-like plans will have several nations acting in a hostile manner [keep in mind, we are only 1.5 years into a 4 year term, and a stated desire to extend it]. We have always meddled in other nations [the small ones, not the large ones]. There is a lot of hostility. >

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Our President doesn't know how to negotiate, only how to bully!

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is still propaganda. Iran hasn't initiated any wars as a government, yes, but they very much have used state sponsored terror cells to attack their enemies from within. Anyway, wonder where they learned that from? Also, this does NOT excuse the US for what it is and has done to Iran.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don’t trust Iran, but I do trust them more than the Trump administration.

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This is well put, tho Iran has its own human rights violations, so it reads bit off, the underlying point is really good. The orange terd woild be so mad if he had a reading comprehension higher than kindergarten.

America: tl;dr

Boy does he need to dumb that down...

About 20 years ago I rented a house from a guy who (both he and his wife) were originally from Iran. For the 5 years I lived there, he was one of the best landlords I've ever had.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What this guy doesn't seem to understand is bone spurs needs him to distract people from the Epstein files

1 week ago | Likes 104 Dislikes 1

He very much knows. Their Lego music videos mention it.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#5 just because he doesn't call the Trumpstein Files by name, doesn't mean he doesn't understand. He knows they are the fabricated enemy our government uses as a scapegoat, not only when things are getting bad here, but also to manipulate certain markets. This second part is key, because it's a twofold issue: 1) it manipulates money markets to make Drumpf's rich friends richer. 2) it manipulates the media by flooding it with the war's propaganda.

1 week ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Considering how the "totally not a war" is going he might need the files soon to distract from the war

1 week ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 1

we won't need the file, ice knows how to treat war protesters, kent state is seeming pretti tame at this point

1 week ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

He really did shit the bed. This excursion is more likely to cost him the presidency than the files he’s trying to distract from.

1 week ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Like the one thing many of his voters agreed on was you know America first, no new wars and he couldnt even keep to that.

1 week ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Now their kids are being deployed. They’re watching this monster send their children to die for Israel. Send billions of our money while we have communities devastated by natural disasters still needing aid, our airplanes falling out of the sky, and the cost of everything inflating to swallow us whole.

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Iran is in the way of Israeli expansion and one of only two countries (if you include the Houthi) that physically oppose Israel's genocide, and have from the time of the revolution. As for their internal issues, that's up to them. Considering the vilification dating back to the revolution I believe very little of it regardless, call me a Tankie. It doesn't jibe with much of the social media that escapes the country. Iran is the last hope to prevent a full Zionist takeover of US foreign policy>

and IOF ification of civil/media environment and policing.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Now write one for the abused & oppressed women of your own country...a lil war you have waged against 50% of your population for decades. Yeah that's right, I will call every abusive man out whenever he speaks, if applicable.

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

He spoke about it and used his power as president https://www.iranintl.com/en/202503052260 more than once https://www.iranintl.com/en/202412031818 Maybe check someone's positions before assuming

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

so he can't criticize a man who is probably wanking at the pics of your little sister or daughter?

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Absolutely he can!! They all need calling out every single time they open their hateful mouths :)

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The average person in the US who might support trump doesn't have the attention span or critical thinking skills to even read this in its entirety, much less truly reflect on it.

1 week ago | Likes 224 Dislikes 1

Hey man. I don’t support trump and my ADHD couldn’t last that long. Be nice! OR ELSE!

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And the rest of us didnt want this war in the first fuckin place.

1 week ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Tl;:dr: Get your shit together and mind your own business.

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

yeah, my first thought was, "those kids would be really upset, if they could read"

1 week ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

yup GOP's decades of making people less educated and easy to manipulate worked like a charm for them as msot people take what they hear as fact and never question it.

Reason that more educated you are the more left you are....modern right has no real goal outside wealth hording & spreading hate to fuel their drones.

Iran has better healthcare for its citizens than the USA making you question which nation is actually a "3rd world country" (iran isnt but is thought as such by many americans)

1 week ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Come on, Iran has less restrictive abortion laws than half of the US. The healthcare parte is not a flex.

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hey Alexa, how boned are we?

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Alexa: Okay! Playing Boney M!

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I do not have thebattention span to read all of that, but tell me, is there new information in there we dont know? Usa are a terrorist state and iran is denfending itself, did it resume it?

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He teaches us a bit of history in #7 and talks about the post-revolution positives that you definitely won't hear in American media in #8. If you can only handle reading a little bit, those two are the most informational imo

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The average trump support, nay the vast majority, could not find Iran on a labelled map.

1 week ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 0

…on a labeled map…

Perfect.

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Omg, it's disturbing how many can't even find America. You ever seen those videos? just cringe.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Simply writing this as a stark counterpoint to the absolute drivel spouted by literally every orifice of the current US administration is a quality bit of comedy. This guy can lie by omission about the abuses present in his country all day and it wouldn’t come close to the never ending lies of his opponents. It is a man revelling in being the more trustworthy party in this.

1 week ago | Likes 76 Dislikes 1

I'm betting he never thought he'd be the lesser evil in a situation and is pleased as punch to milk it XD

1 week ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

You know what the problem with your statement is ? Your knowledge of the Iranian regime comes from the exact same mainstream media outlets that cover up the current US administrations crimes. The narrative is HEAVILY skewed in favor of the KNOWN illegal US regime.

1 week ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 7

I advise you follow the advice given in the letter: talk to Iranian emigrants. The current regime is *far* from without flaws.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My knowledge of the regime is from people who fled those very abuses. Do not make the mistake of assuming that because Trump and his supporters are appalling people, that those who oppose him are automatically virtuous. This guy (or at least the people who helped write it) is clearly more sophisticated than the current republicans, but that doesn’t give him a pass on the actual human rights abuses the Iranian government is guilty of (even if reporting on those abuses is in Trump’s interest.)

1 week ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Nobody said that they are virtuous. Religious fanatics always turn into monsters sooner or later. But the real monsters are those who created the situation that made it possible for them to gain power. And those are the same monsters that now want to get rid of them again. All in the name of the almighty dollar.

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I guess I was reading in to their statements based on a quick perusal of their comment history.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I find it disturbing people are willing to support Iran, don't get me wrong Trump is a lying sack of shit who should be prosecuted for his crimes; yet the Iranian regime has undoubtedly been coordinating terrorism in the region for years, supporting Russia in its invasion of the Ukraine as well as various human rights violations.

1 week ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

I don't know if being anti-war is the same as supporting the people you're at war with. I can dislike the Iranian government and all of the horrible things they've done while also being against bombing the shit out of them. The two aren't mutually exclusive.

1 week ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

I find it disturbing that we bombed a school and killed 150 girls. We appear to be no better than Iran.

1 week ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 4

Two schools. https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/us-used-new-ballistic-missile-strike-hit-iran-sports-hall-teens . And don't forget that they sent two missiles to that first school, the second to kill emergency responders.

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I agree it is disturbing, but its not about being better then someone else; its about acknowledging who you are actually dealing with.

1 week ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

the cognitive dissonance of this articulate educated man who also represents backwards fundamentalist horseshit

1 week ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

Unlike the Ayatollah and the Council, Pezeshkian is directly elected by popular vote. If any Iranian statesman can claim to be a national representative of the peoples will, it's him.

1 week ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 3

Elected by popular vote from candidates that are approved by a council who's members are chosen by the Ayatollah. It was about as fair of an election as the one that elected Putin

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

then i wish him the very best

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Still part of the government system that saw anywhere between 3k and 30k of his own ppl executed in the last year, but somehow still the least of the evils present in Iran, counting the US and Israel XD

1 week ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

By whose account? The same people claiming there is no genocide in Gaza or that promoted the 40 beheaded babies lie or the Iraq incubator lie or that the USS Liberty attack was an accident or who fired almost every person of color from MSNBC's lineup or who contstantly claim that anyone opposing genocide is antisemetic? Those people claim Iran killed 30k people? The same ones who started this war by killing 160 people at a girls school? Those people?

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I would take this more seriously if it wasnt for Irans habit of murdering people who think differently in their country.

1 week ago | Likes 58 Dislikes 18

Last time I checked the USA still had the death penalty in over half of its states. Maybe someone should start a war there to initiate regime change.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What they do in their own country isnt Americas business. You don't have to like it or agree, but if iran invaded America we would be having very different discussions right now. They literally followed the agreement you made with them then you changed that agreement then bombed tf out of iran for no reason. The people of iran shouldn't pay for Americas bloodlust.

1 week ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Replace "think differently" with "look differently". Hopefully you understand why the US is the same

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

iran killed your grandpa?

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is the IDF still paying out that 7k for social media posts? I dont believe people who started off this war by killing 160 people, mostly girls. Or who insist that there is no genocide in Gaza or who are right now taking over a completely diffefent country or who claim to hate "radical Islam" but work with the ISIS leader in Syria and the far far far worse despot in Saudi Arabia or who literally created the Mujhadeen and promoted the Muslim Brothethood to fight the Soviets.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I kinda agree. The Iranian government is evil and has raped, tortured, and murdered their own citizens, especially women, lgbt+ people, and those brave enough to speak out against the regime but they didn't start this war and bombing the crap out of them won't bring freedom to the country. And with how unbelievably dishonest, despicable, and incompetent the current regime is, I believe their government more than ours, at least about this topic.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

what part of his statement lied? What you do to your people is a national issue not an international issue.

It sucks but that doesnt threaten anyone outside Iran.
Also USA isnt far from that atm. some states pushing trans to have a death penalty. ICE has killed innocent people for questioning their actions.

1 week ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

remind me again which country was behind the overthrow of the progressive Iranian government and installed another one that eventually led to the Iran we know today?

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Most of your knowledge about Iran comes from corrupt American administration.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And their own citizens abroad as well

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When you have incompetent fascists with too many expensive guns attacking competent fascists, the propaganda becomes too easy because the competent fascists only have to tell the truth.
But I do have issues with this dude being called "democratically elected".

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

the wish I have to do with you will get me banned so... there.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm curious what you think of the US continuing support of Isreal and the atrocities they are committing against Palestinians. Or is your only standard a double standard?

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You can despise and criticize both. Just because you have come to the realization that "America good guys, enemies bad guys" was propaganda, you should not fall in the trap of thinking "America actually bad, so enemies are good guys" either.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Israel should send a bunch of their people to the hague and be forced to pay for the rebuilding of gaza and lebanon.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Israel should not exist. Rodsea doesnt exist, Aparthied South Africa doesnt exist, French Algeria doesnt exist, the Raj doesnt exist, East Pakistan doesnt exist, Soviet Afghanistan doesnt exist, South Vietnam doesnt exist. All of these were violent psychotic settler colonial or puppet countries in the recent past.

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

We taught them well and continue to be a shining example.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thank goodness that doesn’t happen in America.

1 week ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 2

boy you burned some idiots

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

slight difference between 2-4 killed under a protest compared to 7k-36k, i am not saying the US is a shining knight but Iran and the US talking smack about eachother really is just pots and kettles.

1 week ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 14

Yeah those weren’t exactly just protests and there were Israeli agitators and cia agents directing and attacking authorities . Can you imagine what would have happened at any non maga protest in the us if people were killing cops and burning intelligence agency buildings ? It would have been as bad or far worse.

1 week ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Congrats my friend. You bought into the current US/Zionist narrative. It's telling when Israelis kills Palestinian women and children, then it's "war", but when it's the other way around, it's terrorism. Your knowledge of the Iranian regime, comes from the exact same outlets that run interference for the current US administration and the zionist genocide of the Palestinians. Perhaps you should apply just a tad filtering to these narratives.

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 5

Imgur is bewildering sometimes. It's full of support for the LGBT community, and then the next post will defend the Iranian regime, who imprisons and murders its LGBT population.

Do you realize that, sometimes, in a conflict, both sides can be bad? Just because you criticize one side for legitimate reasons doesn't mean you can't criticize the other for different, also legitimate reasons.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Bro, what? No.

This is an ad hominem, not “buying into a narrative.”

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This isn't a defense of their internal policies. I agree the political executions are disgusting and unacceptable. But America isn't freeing the Iranian people by bombing them. An American's task right now is to resist the MAGA government. Once the US stops bombing little girls' schools, only then can the Iranians effectively fight the internal repression. If America is successful in toppling the Iran political system, they'll install a freak-ass puppet like MBS or Pahlavi. That's not freedom

1 week ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 2

Tldr: throwing atrocities at atrocities only results in even more atrocities. There's no easy way to handle it , but there's definitely WRONG ways, and this is several wrong ways at once.

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Although the messaging was all over the place .. I don’t think “regime change” is still a stated goal of the US. Trump is supposedly negotiating with the “regime” .. so any agreement would keep the current regime in place ( including the Shah ). None of the 15 points from the “peace plan” change the structure of the regime. Although you can’t take anything he says seriously .. he even mentioned that him and the Shah would control the strait after the war 🤦‍♂️ so much for “Help is on the way”

So much more intelligent than the Orange Clown, and with decorum and diplomacy missing from the river of poo Cheetolini spews.

He is is a surgeon and has a specialization in cardiac surgery. Their foreign minister is even more rediculously educated with Phd in political science from the University of Kent. Vaush joked they also have autistic women designing their missiles.

1 week ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

There's a fair amount of bullshit in the message but his English is better than Trump's.

1 week ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Bullshitting to present one's own country in the best possible light is pretty normal in politics. And still far better than Trump, who won't hesitate to degrade the USA and its people whenever it allows him to praise himself.
