I wanna put up the Owl & Woodpecker, Could You NOT, meme, but dogs actually love getting plucked, cuz shed fur kinda NEEDS elimination, but NOT while fuckin eating... ROFLMAO.
I'm old now, and retired, but even when I was born, I was brought home to dogs, so literally, ALWAYS with dogs. I've plucked them all, while most prefer NOT while eating, some will actually aim what part of their ass they want plucked right at you or your hand while nomming away. LOL!
Ahh yes, the seasonal blow off. Someone in my neighbourhood has a husky and we can tell when they have taken it outside to brush out the spring blow. You'll see a bunch of birds flying by with surprisingly big clumps of fur to line their nests.
Usually it's just fur that's naturally shedding, which is supposed to come out on its own. Sometimes you get fur that's still attached and that can hurt, probably less than pulling your own hair.
There is also the fact that this is a husky, and huskies tend to be drama queens, so it's actually dismembering them
It doesn't hurt them but in my experience, most animals find it annoying and don't really like the sensation. A deshedding blowout and bath would probably be more efficient for a dog, but if it's a cat, best I can say is good luck and have patience.
Interesting. I've had more dogs content with me plucking their loose fur puffs than I've ever had that enjoyed baths and brushing. My GSD would sit there letting me pluck his tufts all day, but a bath? No way. He was a massive baby about getting baths. Brushing was fine but still not nearly as much patience for that as when I did this to him.

Shedding.

My dog is a lab x bernese and she sheds like crazy! And it feels exactly like that! Shirt hair as well.

I had a corgi lab mix and he would get paid for ever hair he shed

I have a lab German shepherd mix. I call it butt fuzz. So satisfying to pull it out. I end up with enough fur to make a small dog.
BukkakedileDundee
"Why you do dat?"
Renza0
dont forget the big fuzzy part of their butt often has some tufts too
DongleDingler
As a kid, I had a White German Shepherd that would absolutely love when I did this. Brushing was second to none, but this was a close second for her
CatHateDogDogLoveCat
German Shepherd parents will see this and say "Hell Yeah!"

Get your own floof... Oh right you don't have any you floofless bitch
HelikaformerNubisKnight9
It'a addictive! Only thing I miss while owning a poodle. It was so satisfying pulling the loose hair out of the pelt of my parent's Husky-Mix.

My German Shedder does the same thing. Huge clumps come out .. I’ve thought about taking up knitting.

That looks like embarrassment to me. 😂 "I'm sorry you have to do that..."

I'll be that guy today ! That Husky is standing over it's food during this and is not happy at all.
Vidikron
5 of my 7 are husky or husky mixes and this is a daily occurrence. Even after a thorough brushing, still find poofs to pull.
BananaForScaIe
Malamute owner here and holy fuck it's insane when they blow their coats lol. I swear I could fill BAGS with his old coat!
itsokimaussie
You pull poofs?

It's called "hand stripping" and we do it to our dogs constantly. It's fun.

Does it hurt them?
