Found one of my old phones from 1989. Don't know if it turns on or not because I don't have batteries and none of my cars have cigarette lighters! And this isn't even my oldest phone. I have an old Motorola Brick somewhere!

Even if it does turn on, the analogue networks that ran on are long gone. Cool find though!

You're right. I remember reading about the AMPS system being shut down a few years ago.

I replaced all my car cigarette lighters with a USB charging port. Unscrew the lighter plug, and screw in the USB charger. Cheap, easy and far more use.

Don’t you just need to unscrew the USB plugin and then you have a cigarette lighter plugin again? Maybe you can talk to people from the past!? J/k
