#1 I see you've played knifey spoony before

#1 I used my knife yesterday to fight this regime... by turning two 2-liter bottles into a plant pot.
This is an improved version; 2 bottle bottoms on top of each other, with the top having slits in the bottom. This way the water can drip out of the soil and keep from over-watering the potted plants.

#6 Crow Time! What a sweet comic

#3 as an enby - this is a lie! Who am I? What am I doing? I'm not qualified for any of this! Ahhhhh!

#25 you can tell how dated the comment is - and how out of touch with reality of being poor - when they think poor actually have financial security. Not even middle class has that anymore.

#29 Yabut, the Constitution does not say you *specifically* have a non-revokeable human right to drive a machine that hadn't even been conceived of in the 18th century. Y'know, unlike like hyper sonic Teflon coated bullets fired from an automatically repeating rifle at 500 rounds per minute.

#47 remember that plane that tipped over on landing at the Toronto airport last year?
I saw a Bluesky post about it that made me laugh:
“I hope what happens here happens to America; the right wing explodes but all the people will be safe and ok”

#19 science is questions that haven’t been answered.
Religion is answers that haven’t been questioned

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yep, that was exactly the point he was making

#13 frog-mouth, no contest.

#8 works so much better than the spoon theory. I'm sorry but spoon theory is dumb and does nothing but overcomplicate ans obfuscate the point it exists to clarify.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I do like Spell Theory better, but I don’t agree with your view on Spoon Theory.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

By relying on prior knowledge of a specific game mechanic you narrow the window of people who will metabolize your point.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but at least DnD players will understand what you mean, whereas with spoon theory everyone's gotta do the same amount of mental work, which just happens to be more than if you just explained the thing without using the metaphor in the first place

But everybody’s got spoons.

#22 Can your parkour self only jump and run off shadows, or do they avoid them and rub in the light?

1 month ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Trophy truck :)

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Light and shadow don't matter. They just have to move along a "line" (road markings, fences, power lines, etc). They can jump to keep up when there are breaks in the "line" and shift between "lines" (road markings to fence, power line to replace road markings, etc).

Mine was always a skateboarder, grinding on the rails and jumping obstacles

and I ONLY rub in the light, thank you very much!!

#6 another reminder that Isa who makes Crow Time sucka da cocka for mishandling Kickstarter funds, salaries, etc for people working for Hiveworks and also failed to complete her own Kickstarter requirements for years with little outreach or explanation before giving up and having it be done without her part of the job. Lady stole money, spoke to publishers without proper authority for others, didn't do her shit, and generally wasn't a great person.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I hadn’t heard about any of that

#15 look, we all know somebody who’s getting strung along. It’s happened to me. “Intentional mixed signals” is a thing.

To be clear, the incel “friend zone” thing is a festering pile of shit. But the thing about stuff like this is that most of the time, shit has a kernel of truth. “This person buys me shit and does stuff for me so I’ll keep them around and pretend I don’t see their obvious one way feelings” is that kernel.

It is also, I hesitate to add, by no means restricted to gender.

At which point though, I’d argue the post is still true, because that has then become “your problem,” and the solution is to extricate yourself from the situation

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I don’t like the moral tone carried in “your problem,” it’s more like, “When someone’s stringing you along, that’s a problem that you have to solve for you own sake,” but still stands

#29 Owning a firearm should require minimum a safety and handling course and some amount of hours on a range before you can buy ammunition outside of the range. It doesn't seem like that tall an ask.

1 month ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 1

STOP TRYING TO TAKE OUR GUNS!!!1! (/s)

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Also insurance, liability at the least.

1 month ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

This is my firm conviction also. With renewal depending on current firearms training & a minimum number of hours required to renew.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The complications for me are, “Guns are increasingly necessary for the proletarian and the marginalized, and these could easily be made into disqualifying conditions for those populations by the people REALLY invested in a disarmed proletariat and a disarmed social marginalia.”

1 month ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Practice and safety courses are surely doable, my problems mostly start with insurance and the like

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

And now people are finally starting to understand the importance of the second amendment and how historically gun laws have been made to disarm the underclasses

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

if I were about 25% more conspiracy-minded I might think that the NRA and the other limp “gun rights” orgs were made to divert the truly radical potential of the amendment and the ideologies of the people who support it, tbh

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Like, as an example, the excessively armed American lumpenproletariat (i.e., armed right-wingers).

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Exactly. It’s the folks without the things that make them explicit targets of the state, class consciousness, racialized bodies, etc. who never have to worry about needing to be armed and not being able to arm themselves.

#2 but what if im just not trying hard enough

1 month ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

i agree with all of the things in #2 and #7 for everyone! except me because i should be held to a different standard, obviously.
