This is Cat-Sìth. I’ve had him for a few months and he’s been a delightful house panther to have around. A purr machine; very playful and affectionate. Greets me at the door for pets when I come home from work. He only has one annoying habit. He loves to lay on my sound bar and watch tv. Every time he does this he presses all the buttons which either cranks the volume to maximum or shuts it off completely. Anyone out there have a similar problem? What did you do to cat-proof your sound bar?

Beautiful cat but he’ll pull the threads out of that wooden blanket if you’re not careful

One of my cats presses soundbar buttons all the time. I 3-D printed a cover, needs a new revision.

Cats typically don't like foil. Maybe a strip on the sound bar could help. Otherwise patience, guidance and redirect their attention. GL

Hi again. If you don't mind, I'd like to be contacted at the information I provided at your request.

It's called a decoy, put something else that's irregular (book, paper, square outlined with tape), and they will go for that instead

Sweet name lol.

Thanks. He got it because he has a little white patch on his chest, like the fae cat from Scottish folklore.

My fur monsters do the same, and to my AC units and my PC. I built covers for the AC and the PC now has a wall mounted on/off switch

Can you give him something else right next to it that he lay on top of, that will give him the same experience? A little table or something>

With a self-warming pad (or actual heating pad) for him to enjoy?

get a strip of adhesive backed neoprene and carve out a slot for the buttons so that you have to stick your fingers in to activate it

That’s an excellent suggestion! Thank you. I have a new project.
