"The honking never stops... It's a hellhole! What a warzone? There's a scary parade on every corner. It's SO dangerous here?! It's just- Send more help; we need more costumes!"
Family outing, to watch the community activities.

I have no proper estimate of how many people marched, but it was quite impressive for our community.
It was heartwarming and reassuring, to see such a diverse coalition of peaceful demonstrators.
Feels like Oregon standing up for itself, by keeping things weird.
There were loads of fun costumes and plenty of spirited signage.
After watching the protest, we went to the #SaturdayMarket. Kiddo got a crochet spider plushie and wifey got a pair of earrings. We had lunch at a nice little food cart, called the Tie Dyed Chef.
Oregon is the sort of place where someone flags you down, if you drop your wallet. We're peaceful, community loving people, with no kings.

My aunt, in her 60s, joined up in Eugene yesterday! They had a very impressive attendance considering the size of the city.

My home state! I think I spent my first 4 years in Eugene.

I was born in California, but I've lived in parts of Oregon for ~35 years now.

I appreciate everyone who stood today. Thank you very much for caring about America.
Vantahku
Those who marched today, will be remembered as the bravest and most American of us. Unfortunately, I was wrongfully arrested by the Springfield cops last year and had to this one out. Shit happens when you give a damn...

I love to see you guys and gals standing up against facism in huge numbers at last.
BUT: As someone who were on the streets of Berlin as a kid in the 80' & 90':
Please don't bring your kids to those marches. You never know.

We went to the Saturday Market, a block away. It's a family event, with artisans selling their goods.
Besides, it wouldn't be the first time my little man has seen rough shit go down; he can handle himself in a situation. We're a "run first, ask questions later" sort of crew.
RidiculouslyIncompetent
Yeh, sure.
But I'f seen so horrible pictures and videos on here how your police is handling situations like this.
German police is kind, most of the days.

Yes... that's precisely what my son witnessed last June, when the local cops abused and arrested me on our porch. Later they charged me with resisting arrest and menacing an officer. We're still fighting it in court.
