I remember a reaction .png of a YT comment that kind of said "Everyone that likes this is [x]" then after like 1,800+ likes the user edited it to "Everyone that likes this is [y]"
That is likely the reason why editing isn't going to be a thing for a while
Threads has this feature. They started off with a 5-minute time limit, which seemed reasonable. They upped it to 10 minutes which is great. After that, you can't edit it anymore. It's _extremely_ helpful.
