The title of the novel refers to a pet cemetery with a sign created by children. The misspelling is intentional because the kids are only partially literate.

The relevant book and movie is titled 'Pet Sematary' because the cemetery sign was made by a kid that didn't know how to spell it. The book was written in 1983 so, if anything, the rapper was a Stephen King fan.
