Some of these illusions only work if you close one eye due to the stereo effect, I mean if you are actually in the room.I have the dragon illusion cutout myself that has the same effect. Very neat.

Wouldn't do much for general walls and ceiling. It's the corner that makes it work.Extending it out might actually break the illusion for your brain since there would be more context for it to work with.
