Enjoy your guns for whatever reason just don't deny that along with this liberty comes a heavy burden in the US.

Thank you for actually being smart about this issue

Although it's the mass shootings that make the news statistically it's the suicides that are the heaviest burden. Mostly older white men.

If only this guy would have committed suicide instead of opening fire on innocent people

Americans and their guns. What a bunch of idiots.

Hunting is a good way to stock up on meat and control the deer population. Guns are an important part of our history, in many ways.

Most western countries have hobby hunters but nowhere near the gunproblem as the US, I hardly believe most ppl in the US buy them to hunt.

Yeah, but assault rifles? Press a button and 20 dead in an instant?

I’m anti fully auto and anti big magazines, unnecessary.

Unfortunately, a reasonable and responsible gun owner can become irrational and lethal with the slight press of a trigger

Soldiers are people too, do they become irrational?

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 5

I mean... sometimes.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Actually, yes. all the fucking time.

So we should take their guns away?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

If someone is showing signs of being mentally unstable or is being destructive indiscriminately, they don't get to keep their weapons

If the circumstances call for it, absolutely

Do you feel a heavy burden of car ownership when someone gets killed in a car accident?

8 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 11

Is a car designed only to injure or kill or are you talking about those cars you get for protection?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 11

Yes, when it's a dui. Or a car hits a cyclist. But we pass laws to make seatbelts/airbags/ speed limits mandatory and protected bike lanes.

We don't do anything to protect innocent people from gun violence. We won't even collect data to study the problem.

Let me know the next time a car massacres 50 people

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

86 killed 458 injured in France by a truck

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Do you even watch the news? There was a terrorist attack using a truck like two months ago.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Still pales in comparison next to what an automatic assault rifle can do

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Not really. See the other reply to your comment. The truck attack was actually worse

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why do you think terrorists have to resort to using alternative things as weapons in those countries? Strict gun laws.

Free Speech comes with a much larger burder to the US, So does Freedom of Religion.

8 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 8

Larger than a massacre? Or the ever present fear that someone may shoot and kill you for bc they had a bad day?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Yes larger than a massacre. Free speech is at the root of nearly every massacre, the ones where it's not you usually find religion.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Still guns that cause death and destruction, regardless of the reason why.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

The reason why is most important, the method would just be something else without a gun.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Gun control is within our means. What exactly are you proposing?
