It's fine. The dog is happy. The owner is happy. If you have an issue with something not hurting anyone or anything, think before you talk, because that mindset leads to prejudice.

I basically have a 'bowl' in my mind where if I react to something, I ask myself "Who is this actually affecting?", and if it's no one, then into the bowl of irrelevant thoughts it goes.

First thing that goes into the bowl is "appearance". Acting or looking certain ways that might trigger you for unknown reasons.

Why not?

this is some dumb shit

I thought I was special. But you cut and paste the same response to just about everyone’s comment on this post. I feel negatively affected now.

Do they make truly safe for pets hair dye these days? I'm not sure if this is nifty talent or toxic in more ways than one.

2 days ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 6

This has been a thing for years, decades even, and every time the "Ugh, this is WRONGUH!" crowd shows up with random ass speculations and accusations, all grounded in some gut feeling, so basically confirmation bias.

If you truly don't think it's safe, why don't you actually research it instead of baselessly insinuating it? It's obvious you don't *like* dying dog hair, but that's just like, your opinion, dude.

2 days ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 13

100% toxic. And I'm not talking about the dye.

2 days ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 4

The guy says it's 'pet safe' but I'm on board with your skepticism. Products for pets, from food upwards, is very poorly regulated, if at all. Consequently, manufacturers of pet products can make whatever claims they want about their product. As a general rule I won't trust them unless they've been scientifically tested. Which begs the rhetorical question, if it's unethical to test human products on animals what can we test animal products on?

Oop, haha, downvote within seconds. It's zero, and you're literally just a Karen reacting to shit you see online.

2 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

So how much time have you spent actually researching any of this? Zero? Because it sounds like zero.

Now slither back into your basement troll, and let the adults speak.

You think finding cherry-picked articles on random food companies around the world being greedy .... benefits you? Hahahaha!

Pardon? What I meant is, oh you poor bastard, you have to go out in public like that. Take the pole out of your ass before you chastice someone for something you think they are doing instead of what they are actually doing.

2 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

So basically you're chastating someone for acting wrong? Yeah, goes in the bowl.

2 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Dying animal fur feels wrong.

2 days ago | Likes 73 Dislikes 6

Why? Zero harm. Enhanced attention and smiles and scritches. And it isn’t permanent.

what happens when you lie down, does all the contents of your bowl spill out or is this bowl in like a gimble mechanism so it is always level? asking for a fiend.

2 days ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I am super hopeful that the last word is not a typo, 'cause it's way, way funnier that way!

It's the process as a whole for these crazy grooms that I have an issue with. They can take hours. It also can't be comfortable for the dog to have an uneven coat like that (each of the spots is an area that is more shaved). While dogs can of course stick it out and be okay, this is purely for the owner's enjoyment at the expense of the dog's comfort and wellbeing.

2 days ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 3

Seems like a fairly out there assumption, based on "I know that dogs don't like different length hair", despite being groomed (getting haircuts).

But, that's humanity for you. Jump to conclusion first ("This is wrong") and form the argument after.

Seems like a fairly out there assumption that this dog enjoyed standing for multiple hours of:

Cutting
Shaving
Clipping
Washing
Dying the fur
Blow drying
Trimming nails
Brushing
Sitting for photos and videos

But what do I know. I'm only a professional animal therapy worker who trains dogs for a living.

Actual dog groomer here, hi. Dog's coat was matted. It needed to be shaved off. The process of grooming a dog this small and this well behaved takes less than two hours start to finish. The spots are not cut shorter than the rest of the main body coat though I can understand the confusion as the start of the dying process the prep wetted the spots down and it looks like two different lengths. It was bathed once so the dying process likely added about 20 minutes, if that, to the process.

On top of that the dye being used here, opaws, consists of these ingredients: Aqua, Xanthan Gum, Glycerin, Alcohol Denat, Citric Acid, plus the assorted synthetic dyes needed to make the colors. It's not a permanent dye and I've used hair chalk with more chemicals than that. I'd sooner trust putting it on my own hair than the stuff they make for people. I'll admit I don't offer dying myself, it's because my skill set is built around working with dogs the others won't. The dog is super comfy

Looked through the video again, because of your stupid Karen argument. It looks fine in every scene.

Now GTF off the internet, Karen.

Yeah that close up shot of dog shivering before getting bathed. Pure enjoyment.
